Weather on the Back 40
It was pretty warm (51 degrees f) with a light breeze and not a cloud in the sky. It will drop into the mid to low 30's tonight due to no cloud coverage. Everyone laid out in the sun, thawing out, eating grass and hanging out feeling summer approaching.

It is a dark and stormy day here with tornado warnings here and about, torrential rainfall and some badass lightning to boot! It's so dark out the streetlights are on and it is only 12 noon. I am on the west coast of FL, there where all the pretty reds, yellows and greens are. ARGHHHH! :pirate-steer:

snow has all melted, it's tee shirt weather in the "Snow Belt" and it's just April 2....vote for people that believe in Global Warming but since it is likely too late... find a cool cave somewhere and stock it up for, maybe, a few hundred years.

Corkey is sharing the love again.....snow, wind howling, very cold for the shorts and tank I chose to wear, branches are flying off trees, lights flickering. Note to self....send note to Corkey reminding him there are other ways of sharing the love like flowers, candy, an assortment of Ohama steaks, baskets of mini muffins.......just saying. |

Woke up to a dusting of snow on the ground! Currently it is 38 F with temps staying close to that all week. Blergh.

Snow is expected around sunrise and will not stop until around midnight the following night. It went from little to no accumulation to 1-3 inches and now we're at 5 inches, dammit. |

Below freezing tonight so the plowed snow will create a thin layer of icy walkatyourownriskedness. Luckily, I think that's it for winter. At least, I hope so.

Update for Emerald Coast area:
Sunny and warm, with more sun and warm temps.... After no winter to speak of and lots of rain, (3 days in a row nonstop), we are now battling fleas in record numbers, omg, called the lawn guys this morning to chop down jungle in the back yard so I can wipe out the blood sucking critters, treat all the animals, and the house, omg, I hate those dang things!!!!!!!!!!!! :byebye: |
