Trying to call a central scheduling office and getting a busy signal?? How can you be the main scheduling number for all things medical (in relation to having tests done) and only have ONE line in?

Writing a list of things to do before next weekend arrives.

Taking some medicine to ease off this headache.

Waiting to be seen in urgent care.

I'm ok. Just a sprained foot, no fractures. I was worried with all the pain and just wanted to make sure.

Skyping, eating cheese and crackers, and wishing that it was next weekend already.

Watching the news, drinking water and texting.

About to wake up young Jeffrey pooch. He will enjoy the hike with me down to the mailbox. I just checked, my 2nd Crimson Trace Green Laser CMR-206 RailMaster was delivered around 11:00 this morning. I had to get a 2nd one. Needed one for the long gun as well as the pistol. When logical, rationalization is quite the handy tool too! LOL! Works well for me, quite often in fact.

"One cannot have too many Crimson Trace Green Lasers." (especially when you can buy a brand new GREEN railmaster on ebay for $122.00. The first one was $111.00. Unbelievable deal even at $122.00!!!!)

Packing, organising house for pet sitters, getting ready for work.
I get 1.5 days to myself in a friend's house pet sitting for her. I'm vacating my flat on the Pride parade route. I tried to be here for it last year and it was INSANE. I'm right at the start. So at 9am people were staking out their spots, floats setting up, speakers being put up the size of humans, and bad, bad horrible gay music - not good gay music - bad gay music FLOODING out at the height of my bedroom window (I'm one up from the ground floor) at volumes that were louder than my wearing ear phones to hear the TV were.

It lasted from 10am till 4pm. I was pretty much weeping from the noise by 2pm. Then all the drunken screaming and yelling till 4am.

because no one lives downtown, right? so its ok to rev your car, motorcycle, drunken scream, fight and shriek with your partner, smash bottles, and be a general asshole. Most people I know who live downtown flee Pride and leave it to the invading drunken burbites and come back after the weekend is over.

Trying to ease the tooth pain and fall asleep.

Putting together care packages and other things for the post office.

Think I'll get some scratch-and-sniff popsicle stamps. Heard about them but haven't tried them.

Sitting in the lunchroom not eating that cheesecake

Having a sandwich, listening to the Rachel Maddow show, playing on the computer, enjoying/appreciating a fully functional air conditioner for the first time in over ten years. Waiting for my son to show up. Wishing I had more of those tomatoes my son's girlfriend gifted me. Denying Monte junk food because he still has better for him dried cat food crumbles and wet food out. Hoping my son brings over some more of his girlfriends tomatoes.

I finished the Octopus Mermaid painting I was making for my BFF sister-in-law and her hubby, this afternoon. I'm still an novice of sorts, but I think it turned out pretty good! The octopus is an playful presentation of her hubby, from back in his younger days when he wore really big glasses and his hair was an run-away wavy mass of hair and the mermaid is an playful presentation of my BFF and her love for all things beach. :)

Trying not to feel sad. "See you soon" is not any easier than saying good bye.
