The warmth of the sun on my skin.. finally a 50 + degree day!

It didn't start as a smile...
Yesterday a pop up storm came rolling thru. (My fave by the way. Love to watch cloud formations and the sky darken. The sounds of big drops on the roof. And the surprise little hail pieces. ) As I was enjoying this, I remembered how I left my bed room window open. Mind you, I recently moved my bed under this now open window. This storm, opened up and made all the land super soaked. Thinking...my pillow was going to be wet. The more the rain came, I thought, now my mattress was going to be wet. Came home, and sighed along with a smile. I was lucky! Not a drop. This storm must have blown against the other sides of the house! The storms left and I was able to see stars as I slept :) |

spending the morning and most of the afternoon with my youngest...her energy is amazing...
driving down the road....womdering why I could hear birds so well...and realizing that my bug left her window down....and it wasnt cold at all... the way the sun slices through the clouds after a storm....we live in a world of such beauty... :) |

a nice long (though not long enough...) hike....
finding a promising path to savor tomorrow.... seeing doe~a~plenty and a surprise appearance by a falcon...in the woods... a shy woodpecker peeking around the tree to look at me...then hide....then look again..before flying off. and....as always....the exuberant reception I receive from my doggies when I get home... :) |

what made me smile today?
Helping my neighbor do some car work he couldn't do on his own. I got skills! LOL, but I hurt like hell doing it, my back is a mess but helping my neighbor is what I do best, he's a good friend.

Today was a balmy 70* with a bit of breeze,I had my son bring out the patio chairs and outside lounge chair from the garage,so after a good cleaning up(big bug watch,I hate spidies) I lay'd out in the sun getting a good kiss of the sun rays with my fur kids on each side of me.Where I go so do they,really.
