So far some Starbucks Sumatra but there's a small slice of the most awesome apple bread ever calling from the fridge...

Gemme 02-11-2011 08:47 PM

I don't know.

It's made and we're eating it, but I don't rightly know what it is. Here's how it came to be, though. I took a big skillet, sliced up some yellow and green squash, onions, bell pepper and Butterball Smoked Turkey Sausage and threw it all in with some foil over the top of the skillet. As it cooked down, I put lots of pepper and veggie seasoning and diced jalopeno in it. The end result is spicy and squishy. Those with texture issues would NOT like it.

Maybe I'll throw some cabbage in next time.

Tried my hand at lobster pot pie. That was my special Valentine's Day dinner surprise! It was pretty yummy, except the lobster was a bit overcooked because I had them steam it at the supermarket. Regardless, my honey loved it. :)

Valentine's Dinner

Holy cow, dinner was so good at The Melting Pot:

Tomato Basil Cheddar Cheese fondue with a variety of breads, veggies and green apples for dipping

Me: House salad with peppercorn ranch
Her: Strawberry Fields salad

Coq au Vin fondue to cook:

lobster, filet mignon, teriyaki sirloin, chicken provencal, roasted garlic shrimp and sausage along with portabella mushrooms, asparagus and artichoke hearts.

And finally, yin and yang chocolate fondue (dark and milk) for dipping strawberries, rice krispy treats, cheesecake, pound cake, brownie bites and green apples.

But the best part of all was seeing the surprise on my lovely wife's face when she saw the roses sitting on our table when we got there! It was a delightful evening!
