This reminds me of a story from years ago when I first brought home my cat who recently passed away....
She wasn't more than 4 weeks old when I adopted her. I had a stackable washer/dryer in my kitchen at the apartment where I lived at the time. I didn't realize it then, but she was sneaking through the tiniest vent opening to the outside - halfway up to the top of the 18 ft. ceilings no less- and parading through the neighborhood at her leisure. To this day, I cannot fathom how she managed to get through there!
lol, so I figured she was just cozily curled up somewhere one evening when I didn't see her and went to bed. A wild thunderstorm ensued later that night and above all the noise of the rain and thunder, I awoke to the most horrible meowing sound. (And I am not a light sleeper - it takes me a long time to fall asleep, but once I'm down; I'm out cold. So, suffice to say, it was really loud!).
I went to my bedroom window and who do you suppose is outside peering in at me looking like a drowned rat and yelling her head off? lol, you guessed it; the tiniest fat-mouth kitty cat you ever saw! It was a sight to behold. So, I let her in, dried her off, and closed the bedroom door until the morning when I could fix the opening.
I can't believe she was such a clever and sneaky little thing even at that delicate age! I should have had an inkling just exactly what I was in for after that.
God, I miss her! Anyway, this photo made me laugh. Apologies for the long-winded walk down memory lane, but the photo put me in mind of it. :)
