Just finished Cockneys vs Zombies. I thought it was funny. gory like all good zombie movies should be. I enjoyed the storyline and characters.
Also watched, this weekend. The four faced Liar. Holy crap can you put any more stereotypes in. I thought this movie was a load of crap.

"Something Wild" (1961) on TCM. They just don't make movies like they used to.

Ok, not proud of this but I do appreciate low-brow humor sometimes:

Bad Grandpa.

Cracked me up in parts.

Yes.

Anya the onion!

I'm planning on going to see If I Stay today. Hopefully, I can. I didn't make it the last time I planned to go.

I did, however, stay up late watching re-watching a fluffy movie I enjoyed. Not mentally stimulating but super heroes are always fun and who can say no to Lynda Carter?

Sky High

Touche, my friend.

"The Onion" is really probably a nick name you don't want, though. Just sayin'.

I will expect a full report. I want to see it, but decided to read the book first. Ok, so I guess I don't want THAT full of a report. Just whether or not it was good and shit. :)

Anya's a sweet onion. Duh.

CCB, here's my tip if you tend to get wrapped up in the emotional component of movies like I do.....bring tissues.

I found it well done. The particular style of the movie is not something I'm usually a fan of (won't go into it but you'll figure it out when you see it) but I think it really, really worked in this instance.

I haven't read the book so I don't know how closely they stuck to the storyline but I found it engaging even if it's a bit predictable.

What I thoroughly enjoyed was the music. I'm not really a cello/classical kind of person but the music was beautiful and there's some band stuff in there too for those who don't care for strictly classical.

All in all, I liked it.

stuck really close to da story line. what was in the book and couldn't/wouldn't have faired well on film was well translated.

It's decent. Not life changing I don't believe. Im a huge lover of Indie films and they could of executed the ending a lot better. Anyhow, good for a rainy day :)

The General (1927) is an imaginative masterpiece of dead-pan "Stone-Face" Buster Keaton comedy, generally regarded as one of the greatest of all silent comedies (and Keaton's own favorite) - and undoubtedly the best train film ever made.
