Random thought of the day....

I'm drinking a yummy cherry AMP energy drink, and thinking it would taste a whole lot better with some vodka in it.

If you don’t know what a knob does, don’t fool with it.

Tonight, I drove to San Antonio in the Mom~Mobile to take my daughter her things. We unloaded all of it into her "new place", shared with 2 cousins ~ a guy and a girl.

The girl's Mom was also there and we all hit it off nicely.....so much so that I invited them all to dinner. We had a grand time and found we have much in common....not to mention the fact that the Mom lives in Austin!

I feel much better about the situation, even though her bedroom is teeny~tiny! Overall, the house is very neat!

Gemme 08-14-2010 04:05 AM

Well, after 20 hours of moving things around and packing and driving loads of stuff here and there, 10 boxes and 4 rubber tubs being mailed out, with another 10 boxes waiting semi-patiently for tomorrow (today?) to roll around...I am tired. *yawn*

BestButchBoy 08-14-2010 04:18 PM

Take the time to get a shoe shine.

Laerkin 08-14-2010 05:18 PM

We saw a fire in the neighbors yard so we whipped out the binoculars to see what was going on and we find a gaggle of drunk boys drinking themselves into an oblivion...and the best part? One of them is passed out on a bench and the others are drawing on him with markers and taking pictures. HAHAHAHA. Yes, we're spying. And yes, it's hysterically awesome.

Where does the fire fit in, Laerkin?

Laerkin 08-14-2010 07:05 PM

Well, the fire caught our attention and made us look. We wanted to make sure it wasn't a random fire that required emergency services (at first, it looked like their car was on fire). Turns out, the drunk boys had a little fire grate set up in their driveway behind the car and they were burning random things.

After they finished covering their passed out buddy in marker, they pulled chairs up to the fire and we stopped looking to let them have their fun.

No need for 911 and we got some good giggles out of it. I just wish I could see that poor, poor guy when he wakes up. He is COVERED in marker. HAHAHA!

You'll have to keep an eye on YouTube. If they videotaped it, you can bet it'll show up there, lol.

Today, I went on an afternoon outing (in this 102 degree heat!) with Ms. Tabitha.......

It was serious. There was a sale!

We went to Hancock Fabrics where I found the sweetest apron pattern! But the best part of all? Their lamps were on sale and I found two lovely lamps for The Quiet Room for $30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And they are perfect...just as I knew they would be!

Then we went to Kerbey Lane Cafe.....for....as we ALL know, that kind of shopping makes one hungry. Suffice it to say that I will not eat again until I go to Little Rock. :eyebat:

I blame Ms. Tabitha.......and Ivar, our waiter, who flips his beard up in a mystical way which I'm pretty sure makes one order more food than originally planned. He is Satan.

I am wondering if this zipcar concept is a good deal. You rent a brand new car an hour at a time for a set rate. Yearly membership dues seem reasonabe. Hourly rental is reasonable unless you want a Bentley. They pay for gas and insurance. You pay the first 500 on any accidents/damages.

I wonder if anyone has tried this.

After the number of Americans killed by it,
I cannot abide by such a disrespectful act of building a McDonald's so close to the WTC!

JakeTulane 08-15-2010 08:05 AM

Bed hair is hot. just saying.

Laerkin 08-15-2010 08:08 AM

Zipcar is awesome. It's perfect for urban folks that don't want the hassle or the cost of owning and parking a car.

My close friends live by Zipcar. They love it and it's fun being able to try out those different cars without the huge rental fees.

Love!

i was moving my bedroom set out to the patio because it was to big for my new place so i sold it. to my suprise my ring fell out of one of the dressers.. wow!! she always wanted to move back here..yup happy! but trippin!

um which disrespectful act that killed so many Americans are you referring to....9/11 or the invention of the artery clogging but delightfully delicious big macs?

BestButchBoy 08-16-2010 02:36 PM

Music is what feelings sound like.

Laerkin 08-16-2010 02:41 PM

I'm irritated by incompetence. This is not to be confused with incontinence. However, that would also be irritating. Or perhaps that would be more embarrassing than irritating. And inconvenient...

Rambling.

A funny thing happened to me at the Chicken Pie Shop (yes, that is the name of the resturant, lol). I was finishing up lunch with my friend and was eating a piece of pineapple cream pie.. Sadly, the crust was REALLY hard.. I was going at it with my fork and I guess I pushed too hard and the plate flipped up, spun in the air twice and the pie hit me full in the chest and bounced off onto the table.. The plate spun onto the floor and slid ten feet to settle under a counter. It made a LOT of noise. My friend and I laughed our asses off as I cleaned myself up.

During all of this our waitress passed us twice and didn't stop.. There were other customers in the place and no one looked around. It was hilariously weird.. I have to say, a pie in the (almost) face in public.. and no one even looked twice. lol

I left a dollar tip, she had it coming to her! My friend had to get up and find more napkins to clean me up, lol

I love thier chicken pot pie, but thier service sucked ass and the crust on a cream pie really souldn't have been that hard.. lmao

Yeah the article said a lot of the kids said that they could.

 I did not realize that text messaging on cell phones had the cursive option!

When Tony, my 20 yr old, was in elementary school and first learning cursive letters, the teacher sent home an "instruction manual" to show us parents how even cursive has changed since we were in school. It was quite interesting.

And math...ugh! i could/can never figure out why 0+0+0 = 2,543,908!
