Thank you CCB I received my ATC yesterday. It is beautiful.
For anyone who wants to keep their ATC's safe, they fit perfectly in the baseball card holders. At our local dollar store I got a package of 8 sheets and they hold 9 cards each. Oh, and as much as I would love to do this current project I am going to sit out, I need to get caught up on a few other things first. |

I got my cards today, too. OMG, I LOVE them and I am super, super impressed by everyone!!! These came to me at just the right time.
Deb/sis--Your card is SO adorable. I love the "fortune" and I am obsessed by the little crocheted butterfly. Seriously--I want to adopt it. laruss--I love the canvas you used on your card and the soft greens and god leafing are gorgeous. Tommi--Did you draw this card? It's very impressive. I love this landscape and all the beautiful colors and that it feels like a mini painting. nycfem-- :) I own the same paper you used as the background of my card LOLOLOL. You are truly my creative twin. And of, course the Hello Kitty is awesome! I want to adopt her, too! Love it. Katniss--I love your muted colors and the message is one I needed right now. AND I love the little ticket. I'm like, obsessed with tickets and miniature things. deb0607--I love that your card is pretty on both sides and that everything coordinates. And the shiny heart stickers, well I love anything shiny. Gemme--I love both your card and your message. I love the muted greys of the card that make your embellishments really special. I have a card from a mystery artist, but I am guessing it's from pixie? pixie--I adore this card. Your use of tissue paper is wonderful and so bright and captivating. Yes, tis newbie nanners who did not sign hers...:blush: and they are made with tissue paper and some have sparklies on them, and some have pen and ink on them as well. I'm looking forward to the rest of them. I'm going to sit this next one out, too many things on my plate after a nice, relaxing vacation that I have to (gulp) start thinking about now. :blink::seeingstars: Ahhhh, back to reality. *sigh |

I figured that way it was up to you if you wanted to send the extras to the reunion or not. I abandoned my extras with a card in which I wrote a motivational quote. |

Also love the sparkling gold back! 3) Debbie- always love me some stickers :) 4) Sis- Love great quotes and the crocheted butterfly rocks my socks off! You always outdo yourself, and I always love it! PS Hope you got these cards before you needed to leave. Do let us know! Secondly, hope my package awaits you in China! 5) Pixie- You are always wildly creative. It makes me hella excited! 6) Tommi- Wow, just truly wow... 7) Katniss- Ohhh, I love the birdcage and the message! Beautiful! 8) Nanners- the one that's unsigned, I love tissue paper art and rainbows and kindness! Score! Thanks, everyone! This was loads of fun!!! To do the silver I actually use silver leafing. I paint with acrylics, let it dry and then use an acrylic medium to add the silver leaf. I put on the medium with a brush and then place the leafing on the medium (it comes in verrrrrrrry thin sheets). I let it dry and then rub off the excess silver (or gold) with my fingers. I then varnish the piece with a brush on varnish. I use metal leafing a lot in my abstracts. |
