Scoote and I had our wellness screening for health insurance today...that part didn't make me smile...cuz it involved a nurse coming to our house at 8 a.m....weighing, measuring and doing a blood test.
What made me smile was knowing that I work for an awesome company...and that she gets the same benefits and insurance that I do...just on my say so that we are partners. And that my insurance okayed the MRI she has been trying to get for months (and which her insurance keeps denying). And...I smiled bigger when I did the well-being assessment questions online...and saw that this year the company will deposit $500 each into our HSA accounts...just for doing the assessment and the screening. |
Working from home and glancing across my computer to see Papa on the other side working on hys school stuff. SNOW DAYS!!

I found a $5 bill while doing laundry! WOOT! The water company didnt get all my money after all..lol. I got a big smile on my face cuz now I have emergency money for the week!

The phone call I got from a colleague this morning...he's trying to resolve a problem and has been hitting some dead-ends. His district manager told him "call Jo....she has a way of getting to the root of the problem and getting it fixed."

The phone call to my apartment complex office asking them to clear the ice from the stairs by my apartment resulted in the clearing of not only the stairs, but the sidewalk too and ice melt being put down.
Next week I am going to show my appreciation by having a pizza lunch delivered to the maintenance crew and office staff. |

Last night I sent out some "feeler" emails to some agencies listed on the National Health Service Corps website to see what kind of response I would get and if they still had openings. Brief letter stating intent and that I am not looking to relocate until the summer and attached my resume. First thing this morning I had responses from all of them wanting to do interviews. I replied to all the emails with times I am available next week for a phone interview (since the weather isn't conducive to driving in the Appalachians)and also restated that I am not looking to relocate until the summer in case I didn't make it clear because I don't want to mislead them that I am available right now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they are still interested. I'm all about planning and it would be nice to know things sooner rather than later.

An email from someone here on BFP on my personal email asking me if I was going to the reunion... And no.. Im not... But it was nice to know someone wanted to meet me...
My day off.. Of doing absolutely nothing... But I felt like I was supposed to be working LOl crazy huh? Snuggling with the most amazing little shihtzu ever :) |
Currently enjoying a large mug of hot "Sweet Dreams" tea (chamomile and mint decaf) with a big spoon full of local dark honey.
