Now they are saying 1-2 feet of snow for Saturday.

By mid week, temps with be back in the 50's again. :gimmehug:

Eightballrunner1 01-06-2017 07:15 PM

It is crazy cold outside. Not sure if we will get the white stuff but we will likely get rain along with sleet, needless to say I wont be going out at all while this is going on.
It was 22* when I got up this morning so the weatherman says the same for tomorrow, nothing above freezing till at least Monday.

JDeere 01-06-2017 07:22 PM

32 and cloudy right now, the low is supposed to be 26

Gemme 01-06-2017 07:47 PM

Snow. If the storm turns in any more, it will literally be a shit ton of snow.

Chad 01-06-2017 08:19 PM

Weather Report

It is so cold in Texas my family called it a "code hunker down". Tonight is in the 20's with a wind chill in the teens.

:cold:

BullDog 01-06-2017 08:36 PM

We got a light dusting of snow today in SE New Mexico. It was pretty. It's only in the teens to 20's but supposed to be 70 degrees on Monday.

Corkey 01-06-2017 10:53 PM

10* feels like -4* snow 7" and more coming. Next week 50* :|

Eightballrunner1 01-07-2017 12:09 AM

The weather man says the low will be 22* with the wind chill of 13*.Burrrrr, glad I have things to do inside tomorrow.

JDeere 01-07-2017 05:56 AM

Weather Channels says 22 degrees but feel likes 10 degrees outside. The high today is only going to be 42, now this is cold for South Eastern Texas.

Nope.

All yours!

We're getting up to 15 inches to play with so you can keep the extra.

<---not snow greedy

In fact, I'll be happy to share as many of those soft, fluffy snow inches with you as you'd like.

Wouldn't want to be selfish, now would I?

16 degrees and sunny in central Texas.

We need rain and it's coming. The weather lady reported that California is going to get some of the worse storms in a decade with lots of flooding.

Here's hoping the she's wrong.

I have been awake in bed for an hour since I woke up (I am sick) but finally I had to get up. It is 69 in my apartment and it was 75 when I went to bed last night.

I never turn my heat on because I am rarely cold but had to this morning. I know that you mid-west and back east folks probably are warm at 69 but it is all relative, I promise.

I hope everyone in Planet land stays warm, dry and safe; regardless of your weather.

Hope you're feeling better soon! And the same here—have had the heat on more than usual.

I'm just over the hills from you in Diamond Valley, and we have had rain all morning. :praying:

Blade 01-07-2017 10:45 AM

ICE! Really? Yeah they changed the forecast on the
11pm news last night, when it had already starting sleeting

That close? It hasn't reached us, but I know it's coming. Hoping we all stay safe and protected.

We get a lot of rain here (for the desert) because we are backed up to Mt. San Jacinto...it must have been some random clouds, because the sky is now blue and we are headed to 70* later today.

I think from what I see on yahoo weather we are going to get pounded on Sunday.

Stay safe(f)

The meaning of selfish is in question here.

With my 1-2 feet and your 15 inches, it could be said that I have snow privilege. Thus, it is imperative to enact a redistribution of the plentiful bounty to equal proportions so as to avoid inequity.

:deepthoughts:

BullDog 01-07-2017 01:49 PM

It got down to 1 degree last night. A little chilly for my taste! It is supposed to warm up by tomorrow so I will survive.

Stay warm and safe all of you getting tons of snow or torrential rains in Southern California. I have lived through both and it definitely isn't fun.

Jesse 01-07-2017 03:02 PM

It is 53° today - feels like 49°, low tonight of 35°. Same for tomorrow, then a slow incline back to the high 70's. It rained all day yesterday & last night, making it feel like your bones are not only cold but wet as well. I can hang as long as it's not ice.

For those in the path of the winter storms, stay warm & safe.

No.

I actually have to work out in that mess, shoveling it, so I'm good.

It's still snowing although the TV says it's slowing down.

*looks outside*

The sky hasn't seen the news forecast yet, apparently.

I've got drifts that are more than 2 feet tall so I think the distribution is just fine, anyway.

kittygrrl 01-07-2017 11:02 PM

I wanted sand and waves:carride:..instead it's 3 degrees downhill :downhillski:

JDeere 01-08-2017 03:47 AM

Says 32 degrees here.

Eightballrunner1 01-08-2017 04:59 AM

It's so cold it hurts, my fur kids use to go out but wont even come to the door now, I don't even blame them.

I'll be happy to engage in snow redistribution from me to you.

I just spent a solid 2 hours of shoveling snow and all I got was around one of my buildings.

I have 6 buildings.

And they are bigger than the first.

Did I mention that it's my day off today?

Kelt 01-08-2017 11:17 AM

After 6 weeks of off and on bits of snow that stays well below freezing in between, I've got about 2 feet on the ground. Now there is some sort of tropical air push coming our way that will warm things up and is expected to cause unspecified trouble. (My guess is under snow flooding and brisk business for roofers)

The weather folks have come up with a new-to-me term to use in forecasting, they are calling for "wintry mix". I gather this means 'some sort of sh*t is going to fall out of the sky, likely to make things worse'.

Wintry mix consists of rain, freezing rain, sleet, or snow. Basically the nasty stuff during the nastiest part of the year that gangs up on people to make life miserable.

You are correct; it should make things worse.

Well, you hit that one on the head! We got exactly all of it.

candy_coated_bitch 01-08-2017 10:46 PM

12 degrees and clear tonight.

MsTinkerbelly 01-08-2017 10:49 PM

It was 74* today

Tomorrow will be 58* with pounding rain

~SweetCheeks~ 01-09-2017 01:20 AM

It's been raining off and on for a week and another week ahead of rain and storms causing floods.

JDeere 01-09-2017 01:40 AM

46 degrees out right now, clear and cool.

Gemme 01-09-2017 06:03 AM

It's 6 outside now and with the wind chill, around -3.

*Anya* 01-09-2017 08:06 AM

Pouring rain.

I hope people wake up and decide not to go to work. Freeways are simply awful in the rain.

I wish I could go back to bed.

:cough: (my new favorite smilie because it says it all)
