I wanted to post this because several of you have posted such kind rep comments about a friend of mine.
Was looking for the R.I.P. thread but this will have to suffice.
I got word this morning my friend passed away last night. He battled cancer for 1.5 years. Tim was The Good Guy. I even got him a t-shirt back in January with that printed on it. He loved it!
I was over at his house this past weekend for a long visit. He seemed good for what was going on. We made pictures, laughed a lot, talked funny old times. His appetite was good, he ate more than me that day. Wednesday I bought a couple of chuck roasts. I called him this morning. He didn't answer so I left a message that we'd have a roast and vegetables lunch at his house tomorrow if he was up to it. His brother called me back immediately and told me of Tim's passing.
I am honored to have known such a fine human being. We were friends for about 10 years.
The ones of you in recovery may understand this a little better when I say:
"Tim not only talked the talk but also walked the walk." He always had an outstretched hand to those who had not quite yet given up their struggle with their mood altering type of addiction.
"Tim, may you rest now in peace, my dear sweet friend."
