My dog, who's 11, just had his first pee on a puppy pad. I think he mistook it for one of my carpets.

Driving through the countryside of upper SC...even in the rain it's so pretty...

My first glimpse of the mountains...wayy off in the distance as I got outside of Spartanburg...

After coming through the rain, the clouds opened up and the sun peeked out to play on the mountains...

Walking down the streets of downtown Asheville...the only city I will ever love, besides Boston...

Meeting kindred spirits that are (hopefully...I find out Wednesday) my future employers...

Leaving the mountains behind, and knowing that it will be for the last time... <3

Coming back to a very happy princess kitten who wanted immediate snuggles...

The sleep that only exhaustion can bring...

Being told to clock out and go home early if I wanted too due to business being slow due to holidays.

That's awesome I used to work for them and would still be if I hadn't had to move back home which is no where near a Publix. I love and miss them so much. Knowing this made me smile today :D

Waking up toasty in my bed...with the kitten purring and Jacques sound asleep beside me....

The sun making a slow crawl over the mountains to kiss us all awake...

The birds singing outside even though the morning is very cold....

A much looked forward to walk later...I will be happy to see my old haunts... :)

Starting my day by listening to Buddhist chanting and feeling the most sublime sense of well-being, happiness, and calm arise within me.

I just have a really good feeling about the year ahead, too. And not just for me; I think it's going to be a good one for a lot of people, for many reasons. And I even had that feeling before the chanting and the moving, and the job offer, lol.

Another year, and I'm still here! :)

As ever.....the mountains...and all their beauty.... :)
