My place is beside Helen caring for her. For me there is no better place to be. Her smile fills me up. Her kisses make my heart beat faster. Her touch sends me. There is no other place i would rather be.

Floating on my float in the middle of the pool with the sun shining down on my face with music playing and a cool glass of lemonade, the furkids enjoying the sun, and holding His hand as He floats beside me. :tanning:

My little slice of heaven is sitting on the beach at sunset. Feeling that ocean breeze through my hair, stroking my cheeks and kissing my lips with the slight taste of salt. I feel whole there. I feel complete. Life makes sense and i am home. I could just sit there for eternity.
Luckily, i will be experiencing this in two weeks. Can't wait!!!! http://dl9.glitter-graphics.net/pub/...tax4io2gku.jpg |
This has been my own personal heaven for years now...I rarely see other hikers when I go...the peace and serenity these woods have brought me over the years is immeasurable :)

Rain or shine....anywhere I can fish is where I find my slice of heaven
|
I have a vision inside my head; I often dream of it. If I were to flip through pages of lands that have long since been forgotten, I'm sure I would find what I'm looking for.
forgotten forests.... leaves lining the old dirt walk ways.. moss lined creek beds.. the still quietness of the earth.. Solitude... |
North Carolina has always been my lil slice of Heaven. Back before I moved anywhere or saw anything, my bliss was found on a four wheeler, cruising through the countryside, wind against my face, the cold on my knuckles, hitting every mud puddle I could find. (My first time started on that four wheeler!)
If I was angry, I lost most of my tension there. If I was sad, I found my peace. If I was happy, all the sensations were a celebration of life. After I moved, I explored a few places: Texas, Massachusetts, Utah (don't even get me started on this hell hole of a state), but when the wind changes again, and I hope it will all resolve itself soon so I can, I plan to head East again-- East is home to me. The Northeastern portion of the USA is where I plan to settle down. Of all the places I've seen: the people; the climate; even the architecture; the sights, sounds, and tastes;.... it feels like it could one day be home. And a quick drive down I-95 will bring me back to North Carolina to my family if they need me. |

I will be traveling to my small slice of heaven next weekend...the Catskill mountains in upstate NY. |
My little slice of heaven would be in an area that has a long fall season.. lots of leaves, plenty of fall fest types of things.. I'd love to be playing in an area like this with just her..

An outdoor kitchen is a wonder and makes me very content. i love to cook and so it is my slice of heaven. |
This is just one of my home away from homes. I have spent many an hour in wilderness seclusions even upstream or downstream of the dam. This is one of my most favorite places on earth...not far from home and very peaceful to me. It is a place that helps me to stay grounded.

NOT Heaven... Run, Don't Walk!
Salt Lake City...
When you see the "Now Entering UTAH" sign, pick your car up and Flintstone the bitch OUT of there as fast as your little rubble-ridden footsies can carry ya! http://www.utah.com/images/lf/panoSLC.jpg |

When I was six my family moved to a sleepy little town on Cape Cod called, Osterville. My father was a runner and while he was on a run he found this little beach, it's between two huge seaside mansions. On cape cod you aren't allowed to walk on the beach that is in front of peoples houses. As it's their private beach. So, you have a town way to the water.
My father called this little beach, ''millionaire beach'' because of the mansions that are on either side of it. I have the best memories going there as a kid with him and my sister. I showed my husband this little beach last time I was on the cape with him and its was just odd. Because it still looks the same as it did when I was a little girl. To me this is my slice of heaven. I hope next month I can go to the cape again with my husband and spend some time at this little beach. http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p...c451fb4bfb.jpg I couldnt find a photo of it on google photos. So, I had to so a screen shot from google earth. |
