'Tucking' My babygirl in every night. Telling her about all her faes that are all around her and that My arms are wrapped around her. I feel at peace when I know she is safely tucked up in bed, and falling asleep, so then I can go lay down in bed, and sleep, because I know she is okay. |
Working the soil in my garden with the sun on my back. Feeling like I am part of growth.

Loving and being loved.
Surviving through the day until she brings home better medicine. Getting dinner, though I couldn't taste it. Reading to her. Puppy curled up between us. Big puppy under my leg with her nose mashed into the other desk chair sound asleep. A good visit. One project almost done. |
Not much today; maybe tomorrow will be better.

Sitting at the edge of the estuary, fishing pole in my hand, looking up at the stars in the sky, and knowing that somewhere, there is a God that watches over me.

There is one particular spot on our property - there's a crook in the brook, and a large rock that I like to sit on. There are pine and cedar trees all around, and always lots of wildflowers this time of the year. I could sit there for ages and just watch the brook flow. I want to build a cabin there some day so I can fall asleep listening to the brook that my father, and grandfather, and generations before liked to listen to on a late spring afternoon.
