Annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp & Piratesfest...
May 5th, Saturday...Fernandina Beach,FLA. is 48th annual event. I have been to this and it is HUGE!!! There are over 300 vendors, and many food booths and the Pirates are always coming ashore, pillaging, music, and plain great fun!

Cuddly....nodding GM to you! Take care of yourself and have a great week!! The Lowcountry Shrimp Festival was this weekend. I didn't make it down! Lt. Dan Weekend was a couple weekends ago! There is a huge fireworks show down on the beach here every Tuesday night!! And in Myrtle Beach, Bike Week is going, not sure when that ends! I am eager for James Island County Park to begin its annual Festival Of Lights!!! that will run through the First of the Year!! Lots of shows, events all around the state...something for everyone! Enjoy the day as I am enjoying my Island this day! |
OMG! Honey, i am so excited about seeing the lights at James Island with you this year!!! It's going to be awesome to drive slowly through and see everything...maybe even take a picnic supper too!!!

Also from what I know, most of this is in Columbia, Charleston, Myrtle Beach areas....towards the coastal side.
Just heard a bit ago another dam has breached, so more will be known in the morning. The Gov. has declared a state of emergency for SC & Nat. Guard is in & active! |
