I'm still stepping!
Took Sunday off and only got 5000 that day but have hit at least 10k since the 3rd every day. I'm a little sore today. I figured out a little trick with myself: If my goal is 10k, it is best if I get most of my steps before I get home at night because I DO NOT enjoy exercising at night :hangloose: |
Went to spin class last night and the instructor didn't show. There was just myself and three other women there. We plugged in our own music on the system and had our own ride together. It wasn't what I went for but it was nice in a different way.
I'm headed to the gym now to get in a half hour on the elliptical before work. I'm cold and sleepy and hope this gets me pumped up for a long day ahead. |
Gym afternoon: 30 minutes stairmaster, 30 minutes weightlifting/ stretching/ floor exercises. Continued to watch Toddlers and Tiaras...

I walked home from the coffee shop instead of letting my friend drive me home.

I scraped and chunked up some remaining ice yesterday. I'm off tomorrow so I think I'll head to the gym and slowly get back into the grind of it all. I've lost a couple of pounds just from switching the bulk of my caloric intake to breakfast and lunch with very light dinners and I don't want them to find me again.

I meant to report in on Friday because I was so proud of myself! I did 20000 steps that day!
Still hitting a minimum of 10k every day! I can feel my stamina increasing! |
I walked 50 minutes/5k steps on lunch.
We did day 1 of 21 Day Fix. I am 700 steps from 10k and trying to convince myself to go walk the dog. The struggle is fucking real right now :blink: |

I ventured back into the gym this morning and did a very laid back workout on the treadmill. I'm easing back into it because I'm known for overdoing things right off the bat.
Treadmill 30 minutes 158 calories 1.34 miles I stretched for about 5 minutes after that. |
I went for a nice, long run in the sunshine. :) I'm grateful for the nice weather. It makes all the difference.

Temps warming up...went out with cap and gloves...dropped them soon enough and picked them up on my way back during my 7mi this morning...I smelled Spring in the air...of perhaps it was wishful thinking... Greco |
carried some wooden furniture-type pieces I built for my cubicle at work out to the warehouse, then on to the truck later to take home ... one table is heavy and cumbersome
da maw maw told on me for having the extra stuff in my cubicle ... I cannot figure out what whe gets out of doing things like this to other people ... if any manager noticed these things, they would not have said a word about it ... but since it was "reported" ... the rules had to be followed and I received a tap on the head ... I don't care, today I just blew it off |
I shoveled and ice chipped the last of the snow and ice in front of my office.

I'm going to haul some boxes around today. Not sure if I'll make it to the gym but I will definitely be working my muscles.

70. I hauled 70 boxes, totes and miscellaneous items from point A to point B to point C in less than 2 hours. I don't have a Fitbit or anything like that so I have no clue how many calories I burned but I know I broke a sweat and was breathing hard so there's that.
I also vacuumed a couple of rooms and did random house chores. :weightlifter: |
What to do on a rainy day? Hit the gym!
I burned off somewhere around 173 calories and walked and ran about 1.42 miles for half an hour. I actually did 3 running intervals. The first was at 5mph and was waaay too fast so I slowed down to 4mph with the next one and found my Goldilocks moment with the last one at 4.5mph. This was followed by a nice stretch. Have a great one, exercisers! |

I'm going to have a short, 20 minute walk this morning in addition to my usual work chores.

I took a 40 minute walk and took 4,364 steps which was 1.79 miles. I am going to take another one later. I got a late start on my resolution.

I made it to 10K steps. I only track when I am on a walk. Today I took two for a total of 4.09 miles.

Never did make it to the gym this week...preferred running outdoors...in Nature, big sky...long, slow, 4, 5, and this am 7mi...tomorrow...gym? My gym bud called me out this afternoon for not lifting with him this week..."Well do your thing", I said...Greco |
Got the gym this morning!
Treadmill: 162 cal, 1.33 mi, 30:00 min I stayed between 2.2 and 2.8 mph and increased the incline from level 2 to level 4. I also did 3 jogging intervals. This was followed by 50 crunches on the abdominal crunch machine and some stretching. |

Gratitude
Thinking about how inspirational the gym is... so, yes went to lift today and before I did walked 4mi on their track...it's a strange thing this track, 10 laps makes one mile...mostly I loose count and don't care...today, I noticed an older lady jogging around and finally realized she is blind. So much for any excuses I may think up this week, or any day after this...She jogged at a brisk pace by the rail...I went to lift and 45mins later she was still jogging...another great Power of Example. I think I'll introduce myself at some point...thinking about it she's probably younger than me...doesn't matter...she's doing her thing on that track and strongly impressed me...so we'll see. The lifting was good, my bud got over it. keep on keepin' on...Greco |
I walked five miles this morning which was 12,181 steps. It took me forever but I did it. It was cold this morning and I may or may not have slipped on ice.

My phone died during my walk so I don't know how far I walked. I had 3 miles before it died. Second day I slipped on the ice. Thank goodness no one was around to witness it.

I made it to the gym again. I hit up the elliptical this time and kept it short so I wouldn't overdo it.
168 cal, 1.14 mi, 18:00 min I followed it up with some stretching and made it back home to feed the whining babies. |
I've turned my floor at work into a speed walking track. I've been doing 15 rounds in less than 10 min. I need to wear my phone, for a distance measurement.
This is a slow month, so I'm able to do this..lol Oh, and yesterday, I washed the outside front windows. (And then still completed my 12 hour shift!) |
Another gym trip. Back to the treadmill.

I walked 5 miles this morning which was 12,245 steps. It took two hours. That seems like an awful long time. I did walk in the cemetery and I do stop to read the grave stones. I need to speed it up.

I decided to workout every other day, just to get more work done. I have increased my workout and I'm starting to show some nice definition on my arms, chest and stomach. Yeay!
Today I did 120 situps 30 pushups. I ride my bicycle when the weather is warmer, to workout my legs. Keep it up everyone. You're all doing great! |

Untied and unloaded several XL garbage bags full of empty 5 gallon water bottles from the truck bed about day break. I have ideas about some projects using them when I have time for leisure projects. They throw these plastic bottles away at work so I have someone save them for me.
Broke down 4 pallets and was careful not to split/break any of the wood. Using pieces for an art project. The idea is not mine, I am not the least bit creative in that manner but I will copy one a lady at work showed me she made. She knows I will eventually be doing one exactly like hers. Unloaded concrete from the truck. Basically drove up to each fencepost hole I had already dugout, dropped a bag of concrete mix beside it. |
