Very enjoyable yahoo messenger conversations, and feelings that have long been forgotten about ........... this has been a week of smiles and a happiness meter that is finally out of the red :D

finally moving on from my past knowing i was being played all along.... putting things into place where i need them and finding I am a wonderful woman who will some day find someone.

Enjoying a really wonderful, peaceful, comfortable day....
starting with a wonderful breakfast, meeting and chatting with a very delightful older couple during breakfast (Mutual long-time friends of Blade) who picked up our ticket before we had a chance to pay for it (Southern Hospitality and Kindness)... enjoying all the sunshine making plans for a good next week at work getting an offer and messages from 2 friends about a sunny weekend road trip (really wish I could have joined them! It was sooooo LOVELY out today!) ending the day with a very peaceful evening And now I'm watching Blade passed out asleep in the recliner with 2 very spoiled boy dogs curled up with him.... Willy in his little Tshirt and Skippy on Blade's lap. They all look too comfy to wake them and send them off to bed. Blade's had a big day with the funeral and all.... it didn't take him long to knock out cold!! Good thing he has 2 very adoring "son's" to keep him warm and well guarded tonight. |

Sitting and watching Mum as she giggled away to herself because we were talking about our long standing joke about how ever time we watch a dvd together, no matter what, she will start to fall asleep half-way through the movie, tonight she made it to 11 minutes in before she started dozing off ... I love my Mum, I don't know what I would do without her, she's a true star, a genuinely innocent and loving woman.

Sitting at my "home office" (the dining table) catching up on a very hectic week at work. Uncle Terri is asleep in the guest room after having a rather interesting "Cannonball Run"-style road trip yesterday and my honeybunz, Jackhammer, just called me from work to tell me she cut her finger and wants me to pet her when she gets home.
There are steaks marinating for later (and a veggie burger for the veggieButch among us!) and my orange dog is guarding the front door. I'm smiling because my life is happy. I am supremely happy in this moment surrounded by a career that I love (the career, NOT the hours!), people that I love, a house that I love, a loyal and constant companion in my orange dog-love machine, and a heart that is fulfilled and happy. And did I mention that I ate cake for breakfast? ;) |
Hearing the boys playing hockey in the parking lot say "Awwww, mom, do we hafta???" when she called them in for dinner.
One of the few times I like Canadian winter. |
Even though there is so much more to learn and discover, at the moment my life feels complete and my heart is content :)

Breathing after a really busy weekend of work. Relaxing, sippin on grape juice, cuddled on the couch with pinkie and watching "Pretty in Pink" for the 9 millionth time. *smiles big.

My sweetheart...
Shoveling, shoveling, shoveling so I don't have to step in snow... (Then I go to work and shovel my clients walk way... grin...) Her driving me to work and then taking an early lunch to carry me home... Cause there might have been BLACK ICE and I don't like the ice and don't wanna drive on the ice and I don't have to deal with anything that I can't see but might have drivers crashing into me... So.. she drove on perfectly dry, non icy roads to prevent the BLACK ICE from gettting me... Grin... |

- putting in for a week off to celebrate my birthday, but getting not 1, but 2 weeks off instead...yaaaaay.. i decided since i never celebrate my birthday each year that this year i would be good to myself, do some things i've been wanting to do, spend it with people that mean a lot to me, and relax and work on getting my life in order because i owe it to myself... so a 2 week birthday celebration is on the way.. *grinz* |
