I confess we are starting our own Easter dinner traditions with The ham and some salt potatoes making some killer cornbread too.
I confess my weekends with Abby seem to fly she is growing fast nto quite a young lady
I confess I miss my Mommie2 and I would have loved to have her be able to hold Abby and to have her meet Desd... she is the reason I ma who I am all the good things that I am I learned form her she was my saving grace in a dark time
I confess that C. Louise Long had to have been part angel and that was why they needed her back ....

I wish it would stop raining and tornado-ing (yes, I made it up), we were above flood stage 2 months ago.

I confess that I love, love, LOVE storms. Even tornadoes. And I've been in a few too. There's nothing like being hunched over with your mom inside the tub and a mattress over your head while you feel your trailer lift and drop a few times.

It's pretty damn awesome, I confess.

I love turbulance on plane rides too. The more there is, the better I sleep on the plane.

I further confess that I am very tired and it's been a long day.

...it amazes me how simple life really is...& how most of us stress about things we can't change...

I slept in, and chose instead to call out and spend our first Easter with Abby then go in late to work, and I don't feel guilty.

I have always had to work Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, so I really don't feel bad about calling out. I rather get in trouble for calling out to spend time with my family, as opposed to calling out because I just "didn't want" to work or was hungover.

I have no regrets, and the road was filled with potholes and pit stops and faith in some of the worst people ever, but my life, my "pursuit of happiness", has led me right where I belong. I have learned hard lessons and found out who will always be my support, so it was worth it.

Seeing all of the love between Bard, Desd, Little Ms Sunshyne and T-Country is cute!

I wish everyone a wonderful Easter and hope everyone was able to get an Easter basket today!

I am cooking today and then I will be spending the rest of the day, watching movies and catching up on my Law & Order SVU and Bones.

...I should have stowed away on the cruise ship that was docked there (the kiddo had an excellent "ninja stealth plan" to get on the boat lol)

ok being southern I know this will surprise everyone, but even as early in the summer as it is already....I confess I HATE humidity! It's only like in the 80's here this week but the humidity is killer. It's about 71 degrees right now and I'm sweating like a mule.
