Some of my friends came over today and made me a surprise birthday party! We had a great time; what a wonderful day. And cake and cookies and presents and sake! lol, smiling all day long.

Conversation overheard at our house....
 

Sister-in-law: "69 years!! So what is the secret for making it to 69 years of marriage, Earl?"

Dad: "Don't die."

Sister-in-law: "So now I see that is why Ruby hides all the guns."

Getting a message from a good friend!

BOTH my clients today...

The first one:

She told me she is NEVER worried about having anyone drop by because I keep her house SO nice and clean :)

The second one:

She is such a mama bear; she always asks me if I've eaten (I usually haven't but don't tell her so) Today she plunkered down a hunk of cake on the table and told me it was for me! This kindof demanded me to eat it.....and it was SO GOOD!

Texting my 7 year nephew that was sooo funny!!! And i got to talk to my fiance!!! And found out a best friend of mine is coming to town this weekend!!!!

Skyping with my grandbabies, having blackberry pie from Mom's Pies on 116 Hwy., hanging out with my buddy FR and getting into mischief.

Being possible pre-diabetic, pie is out for me. I am happy to learn
it is a healthy choice for some who ARE diabetic.

I tend to stay away from sweets and carbs like toast every day, candy and pasta as much as I can.

My aunt who was diabetic since childhood had her legs amputated later in life and
I would never want to cause that to myself.

I admit I am a bit envious at people who can just eat what they like and not
worry about their health.

Sending out a morning text and knowing it will be appreciated when she wakes up

What made me smile today....watching and listening to my kitten as she talked in her sleep :hk36:

Today was not too bad.
 

The slow spreading warmth in a sip of Tazo Spicy Ginger Tea. (Mmmmmm! I used to always prefer coffee, but now I find tea to be a much more sensual delight. I can't seem to get enough of it.)

Experiencing a book so alive with insight and wisdom that it physically grabbed me by the shirt collar and held me spellbound. Riveted, I was rendered powerless to look away. (For the duration of my lunch break, anyway!)

The sweet, ungodly pleasure that comes from removing your bra when it is far too restrictive and has been worn for far too long. (You just don't even know how good that felt today!)

And a sudden and unexpected flash of insight into myself as well as The Universe. (That was pretty cool, too.)

And sparkly beads. (People warned me about this! They were right.)

Knowing 3 more days and I will be with her again!
