Good Morning Everyone,
I am not gaining weight or losing any, which is normal for me. I am still watching everything I eat and exercising when I can. Good Luck everyone! Zimmy |
Good morning y'all :)
It looks like everyone is still going strong, making positive changes & moving in the right direction! Keep it up... we can do this! Well, 1 more pound gone forever! Yep, slow & steady... but at least it's going in the right direction. I KNOW that I haven't done everything in my power to get it coming off faster. I KNOW that I should exercise more. I am watching what I eat and limiting my indulges.... but I could always do better! Yes, I own my choices because ultimately it's up to me! I get in these lazy funks where I let life control me... when I should be controlling my life! Negative self talk pops in my head, and sometimes it's hard to snap out of it. I'm telling you, it's a daily struggle sometimes. But, I'm only 5 pounds away from my first personal goal I set. I've been doing WW for 4 months now... and have lost 27 pounds. Must. keep. going! I hope that everyone has a fantastic, healthy day! |
Hey all!
Long time, no talky! I have been out of the loop both here and with WW for a few weeks now. Still following the plan loosely but not focused as much as I'd like. I went to Juney's birthday party in Portland for 5 days this past weekend and drank a LOT, ate a LOT, and generally opened the gate for some serious calories. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't eating butter from the box or licking cream from the walls but I certainly ate cake and pie more than a few times :) I was fearful of weighing in but went ahead and did it this morning. I gained 2 pounds. ONLY 2. I was all prepared to see a 6 or 7 pound gain and was overjoyed about only gaining 2. Hell, I can take a dump and loose 2 pounds. I'll be hitting the elliptical tonight and had some strawberries and a banana for breakfast. Also pounding some water and plan to have a healthy dinner. Glad to be back on plan and back in here with all of you! |

Excellent work PinkieLee!!! |
I had a really great time at my hip hop dance class. It was a lot of sweaty, nonstop fun...lol I think I'm gonna try out the kickboxing/dance mix class on Saturday. I do so much better with exercise when it's fun lol!

Ahhh you made me laugh, 2 pounds and you could lose that in one crap. :lol2:Take magnesium, if you don't already. If you have a wacked out digestive system and have had life long constipation, chances are you lack that lovely essential element in your diet. I wish someone would have shared that little golden piece of info with me YEARS ago!! Anyway... I am sure you had a great time with June celebrating a wonderful birthday!! Welcome back!! |

<insert envy face> I wanna do a hip hop dance class. :cheesy: I do wwaaayyy better if I can smile while I am sweating and hurting!! Kickboxing/dance mix class....now that sounds like it would take a couple (at the very least) of classes for me to get my feet to agree on which way to go and when!! |
Good morning everybody!
Not a big fan nor do I really eat cottage cheese but I had some this morning with peaches and a thin bagel. 250 calories. Not sure if I will have cottage cheese again. LOL. Not sure about lunch yet but I know I want ribeye steak and shrimp tonight! ..and probably toss a romaine salad together to go with it. Gemme, I'm pretty sure they said no commitment on either PF plan but I will check again to be sure when I take my free day to try them out! Saturday morning I decided I will hit up Snap Fitness I have free days with them so I figured Saturday, Monday and Wednesday! Then I can be sure of what I want to do as far as a gym goes. Wish I could just move into a community already that has a fitness center but until I figure out where I will be permanently that is not an option. At least I still have the pool and the beach while it's warm! Tomorrow is a beach day for sure! |

I'm not gonna lie, I can't do the large curd though.... I don't like the texture of the big chunks in my mouth. (great, that sounded really gross). I like the reduced fat, small curd the best. |

It's this one, and I just read that it's 11 servings--I *try* not to go to costco every week! http://media.shopwell.com/product/4990034630_full.jpg |

a combination migraine medicine. The pharmacist shared that with me, and also told me, when you are in the hospital and have any I.V.'s.....magnesium is mixed into your I.V. solutions so you do not have constipation. |

I had used metamucil, but found that the chemicals in it made my hands swell quite badly. I tried psyllium husks every night before bed and right at waking for over a year. It was not much better. Then I started putting calcium in my shake, and it had mag, and that is how I figured it out. Did some research and found out how it works. Anyway, I am sure there are others here with other great ideas. Those are just mine. |

Sometimes you get tired of doing stuff like that every single day so, without fail, I'd lay off of it for a while; sure enough, I wouldn't go everyday. I read in this very thread about people mixing plain Benefiber into some of their foods throughout the day, so I thought I'd give that a try. Again, it took a few days, but I got to where I was regular as a result of adding it. For me, it's less of a chore than the Metamucil mix every morning. I usually take in 2 or 3 heaping teaspoons each day and find it easiest to add to my yogurt, oatmeal, and protein shakes. Like the others said, you don't even know it's there. |
Even better than having to swallow orange Metamucil is to use the colorless, tasteless one that yes, dissolves in anything and you have no idea it is there,
until you blow up like the Pillsbury dough boi, that is. Since I am now forced to do this as an adjunct to my cholesterol med, I put a teaspoon in my coffee, a teaspoon in my oatmeal, one in my fat-free salad dressing, too! I also bought gummy bear fiber things-2 are 5 more grams! They kind of gag me but if you like gummies, they taste good. Bam! Easy as pie-pardon the word. Of course, now I am forced to buy stock in the Gas-X company to survive but goddamn my cholesterol better go down. And yes, regular too:) |
Thanks everyone for the advice on moveing experences,I will give some a try after im off amoxicillin for my sinus infection...it has kept things on the move so far.I always feel I can lose weight easyer when this just be nice and flow down the pipes.I dont know if is a med thing or a carb diet thing but what ever it is its going to become less of a prob.

On Thursday I went to my first overeaters annomus(?) meeting. Not shure what I think at this point, but will contenue to go for a while to see how it works out.I know I have this feeling of..how do I say this,a bit of anger and resistance to some things that the 12 step has.OR im just begaing to face the things I have filed in locker 13,Ya know that place where over the years things that I had to suck up and take it on the chin or not say anything cause I know I would be told what I thought wouldnt matter,I cant count the times ive been told I wasnt nor would I ever be big enough to stand that tall..even as an adult I was told that..rather recently by the way.Ya know file 13 has been locked a long time, maybe it should be left that way..or maybe not.I wonder if I can only take out selected pages.Im the iron horse hear..I know I have a cracks in my armor, but I have patched them as best as I can its one of those things we all do to deal with life.

So, I didn't do my 30 out of 30 days. I had a pretty good record going (missed one day), but then got a bad cold and was afraid that if I worked out it would make the cold worse and I would have to miss work like a lot of people have lately. I feel a bit less rough today, so I will get back on it. I really do like this elliptical, for anyone who is looking. It is Livestrong (by Lance Armstrong). What I like about it is the pedals are closer together, so it is more similar to the actual distance between our legs when we walk. Other treadmills have the pedals spaced further apart, which feels more awkward to me. It is a newer product, so there are less used ones out there, but you can find one. I have never joined a gym (up until now I just either didn't exercise, mountain biked, or had a bike on a trainer indoors), but I know me and I would never go. This works better for me. Quote:
Who else like quinoa? I like the feel of the seeds in my mouth (unlike PinkieLee and her "curd issue"!). |
