Getting on the scale after eating healthier for a few weeks (a salad once to twice a day, LOTS of water, no soda, a rare fried food or sweet and in moderation) and finding I've lost 11 pounds :)
Pedometers came in the mail today - used points I gained at work for logging food and exercise (they have a program to help their employees with their health like offering the food journal, exercise log, health risk assessment, free coaching for quitting smoking AND they pay for you gum/patches) to buy them, so essentially my hard work for me two free pedometers :) One for the boi and I. Happy girl! |

Getting a very nice e-mail this morning from my English professor informing me I was a bit too advanced for his class. Also, his idea to challenge and push me harder than the rest of the class when we discovered transferring into an upper level class wasn't an option for various reasons. I'm glad I get to keep him as an instructor :)

I got fed up today when my scale read 222 lb..No way I gained 10 lbs overnight! So I went out and bought a new scale - I weighed in at 205. WOOHOO! I was kinda concerned this whole time wondering how I was supposed to be 220-230 when I'm still wearing the same pant size I have been the last 6 months (and I know from prior experience that if I am up in that range I'm more like 18/20)
SO super happy that my new scale tells the truth :) |
Coming home from work and seeing that my girl left me soft foods I could eat (mouth problems right now), a card, and a Reese's peaunut butter cup (that I WILL figure out a way to eat).

Sitting down at my dining room table to tackle some textbook reading assignments... then finding myself quickly distracted and staring out the window watching the world go by. After a few minutes of that, my roommate sits down to eat his lunch and says, "Hey! Whatcha doin?" I say, "Reading for school." He says, "Oh yeah? Is your book outside?" I laughed and said, "No!" I quickly went back to reading and he asks, "What are you reading about?" I instantly cracked up... laughing so hard I could hardly breathe. When I finally came to... I said, "The paragraph I was on was about distractions." Oh, the irony...

2 things that happened at school today..
1) Student walks up to me and says "Miss, I have to tell you something...I brought my sugarglyder to school and its going crazy "*removes sugarglyder from pocket* Sugarglyder then decides to escape and run all over the class!! How did she make it through the day without any of her other teachers noticing she had a flying squirrel in her pocket!!!! 2) I received a valentine from one of my students. He drew a sun on it. On the bottom he wrote "You are really hot" UMMMMMMMM....lol I had to laugh! Sheesh! |
