convo between my older daughter, boyfriend and me.
Boyfriend: to my daughter your mom (my ex) wants to know if I have her saw.
Me: her saw? she gave all my tools to you?
He: She gave me a box of tool
Me. Why does she want a saw? she never lifted a hammer in her life
Daughter to boyfriend: so who do you think is butcher T (my ex) or Mom
He: well T seems like it because she is really rough around the edges (what ever that has to do with butch I don't know) but your Mom (meaning me) because she has it all and can is really handy
Daughter: yeah, she did everything around the house. Yeah, it is definitely her (meaning me)

Nice that I am recognized lol :)

My entire day....

I confess I started out sad and miserable; holidays are a sucky time to be 800 miles away from loved ones....but.. I'm where I want to be... so...I spent the day with my great love: Asheville :)

I went downtown and found it nearly deserted...meandered aimlessly for a while, then headed to the basilica...the bells ringing actually led me there...explored there for a while, kit a candle for my loved ones...

Then off for more sojourning in lovely weather...found a European style bakery open and got a treat then walked to Pack Square...found an actual paper version of the Urban Trail I've been wanting to take...did some of that...window shopped like crazy...without crowds! Ended up at Pritchard Park....

I saw a lot and learned something too....

After helping a lovely lady, I went home and grabbed my dogs and went for a nice hike that was suggested to me by a client yesterday...

Best thing yet is that I discovered ways to give thanks and find bliss...even so far from all those I love...

People's kindness... just when I thought I had nothing or no whea to go... My roommate/friend invited me to her family's Thanksgiving dinner...It was beautiful and humbling... I'm blessed beyond words....

Spending quality time with my daughter in downtown fabulous Chicago!

The holiday lights are breathtaking, the food per always is perfect. Went to the museum of contemporary art this afternoon, one of the exhibitions is Surrealism: The Conjured Life. We will both be discussing for many hours the stories behind the art.

My daughter wanted to do a bit of shopping for her mom, so we went into a little shop on The Magnificent Mile. She saw a handbag her mom may enjoy and the nice woman told us the handbag was on sale for 1,550.00. LOL my daughter kept it cool until we left the boutique. A bit over her budget of 250.00.
