Being at Pops' gaff when young Oscar (the only child that any of us three siblings will produce) came to visit his Grandpops, his Ma and Pa came too.
Our little bright spark was in a dancing mood for a while so we danced and threw ourselves around much to Pops' amusement. Then Oscar decided that he thought I should beat up his Daddy. It's not easy to explain to a 3 and half year old that it's almost 30 years since I could beat up his Daddy. :cheesy: Not so sure what made me smile most. Playing with my nephew or the notion of beating up my 'baby brother' (aged 40 and 3quarters).....just for old times sake! |
Being out in the yard playing with my fur kids,then all three of us just getting so tired after we played we just sat on the patio catching our breaths,my fur babies at my feet,a cold drink in my hand,me just watching the world go by..cant get much better than that.

A lovely dinner last night, with a surprise bouquet of roses at the table when we got there, made me smile all day today when I told co-workers (okay, gloated to my co-workers).
But, when I came home to a valentine surprise -- house completely decorated with hearts, cards, gifts from my Oiley Beauhunk and the furkids, and dinner made by my love (not the furkids) made me absolutely GRIN! I'm one lucky girl. |

Authorities in Minsk, Belarus approved an LGBT rally in the city for the first time ever. KyivPost reports that authorities directed demonstrators not to use the rainbow flag. UK Gay News supplies the above photo, and writes: The rally was seen to have created history in the country where events organised by the gay community up to now have always been banned. And the result was that there were twice as many journalists on hand to cover the event than those taking part. “For the first time the only thing that we feared was neither the police nor the homophobe hooligans but the cold,” said Sergey Praded, organiser of the event and co-chair of IDAHO Belarus. “In the last six months, we have submitted dozens of applications to hold a rally. We appealed to the court. I am so used to doing everything for myself that I tend to not ask for help even when I need it. Well, I broke down and asked for a little help and what I got was a lot more than I could ask for. I felt guilty letting her meet me there because she could hear me flipping out over the phone and we both have our own clients to see and schedules to maintain. She stayed and waited while I had everything done and took me home and had another friend come and drive my car home. People kept texting and emailing me (as not to wake me up) to make sure I was okay once I got home. I work with some of the best people I have ever known. I don't know how I got so lucky.
And my friends who I told about it and are not local kept checking on me via texts and kept letting me know they were thinking about me. I love them so much. Now, I am beyond smiling and getting mushy. |
