Listening to Thelonious Monk this mornring.

He was a jazz musician (master player), but he would throw down some Liberace runs in the middle of a song that just makes me smile and sometimes giggle. I love his music. Makes my whole being smile.

Sometime during the night I felt a kiss on my head. Well, my Confetti cat likes to sleep at the head of the bed over my head and on occasion she will put her paw on my head, my face. Annoying at times, lol.

I was laying there thinking about what I thought was a kiss, and an "aww" came out. Then, I felt another one. Woke me up and I said to Blaze, did you kiss my head? He says nooo, I was massaging my lips. Ha ha. Still sleepy, I'm thinking this was a dream.

When it came time to wake up, he rolls over and kisses my head again. I smile, knowing it really wasn't dream.

LOL! I think it's best for me to leave that one alone since we're in mixed company. Want a ride to the optometrist so this conversation can run around in the gutter without anyone else being subjected to it? :glasses:  Not to mention, I suspect having you read the streets signs would be entertaining! :p

clay 01-08-2016 02:57 PM

cuz I can! AND you enjoy it!! It IS good for chuckle or two.....probably by many as well...:)

Not just reading signs...reading signs with crappy glasses! I can sympathize with the hearing thing, too. I've fallen victim to the same fate, for precisely the same reason. Although, I haven't reached the point of hearing aids, yet. The fire apparatus' and ambulances are loud even when we aren't screaming down the road in them. And, as you know, they're a gathering spot for the likes of us, while they're running. Does that make us pig headed or dedicated? :eyebrow: :fireman: Must be dedication because I'm a long way from being pig headed. :innocent: Having said all that, I wouldn't trade the career choice I made many moons ago for anything in the world, dulled hearing or not.

Besides my family that makes me smile, yes there a person here that makes me smile at times but I don't want her to acquire a ballon ego to much it might pop! ( laughing )

A phone call from my sister to tell me this conversation. She was driving home with my nephews who are 8 and 5. Johnston (8) asked who was taking him to his basketball game Sunday. She told him our older sister Lisa and he said it didn't feel right that Robin (me) wasn't taking him and then Jefferson (5) spoke up and said, "It doesn't feel right in my heart."

I love those kids and it make me smile knowing they love me so much.

My daughter offering to make me breakfast this morning really made me smile.

Bèsame* 01-10-2016 11:33 PM

There was an early morning errand to get some coffee to hold us over till we went to SAMs. Smiling...not only was there coffee when I woke up, but a super cute thermal tee. He knew I was cold. Can I just say...I love the smiling days!
