I have no idea....................my kids are takin' me out for dinner! :) (So I'm thinking Indian, as they've been wanting to take me there for a while!)

Shrimp gyoza in a clear mushroom broth, with shitakii mushrooms, grated carrots, cilantro and fresh jalapeño, a touch of soy and chilli bean paste and a squeeze of lime, and later, Thai green chai with two small chocolate chip cookies.

Monster salad of organic baby spinach & baby spring mix with shredded zucchini & yellow squash, a little shredded fat free cheese & drizzled with some balsamic vinegar...

Slow cooked a london broil in the oven with carrots, onions, a can of diced tomatoes, garlic, and a little Worchestershire sauce...
Made basmati rice cooked in beef broth and green beans to go with it... Took the tomatoes and some of the onion from the cooking pan, blended it, seasoned it, finished it with a little butter and made a nice sauce... Scoote said "this is good, what's it called?" I could only shrug... :cheesy: Half the time what I'm cooking doesn't have a name...I'm just playing in the kitchen. |

My honey made an AWESOME dinner of thinly sliced pork loin baked with onions, red peppers, mushrooms and asparagus on top in a yummy sauce. I finished it when I came home with half a bowl of rice (steamed for me, fried for Ebon) and put his concoction on top, using LOTS of the sauce on top of that.

I did my major eating and cooking for lunch (most always my main meal)
I am heating up some of the homemade pear crumble I made over the weekend and will have that with a bit of sour cream... |

and yes,I am so damn miserable right now I could scream...Someone needs to superglue my mouth shut.... in MY defense..i was suppose to be taken to the grocery store FOUR days ago...there are none of the foods I am suppose to eat here except for one more can of soup and I refused to eat soup four days in a row... so justification has lead me to the path of wrong and on it had olives onions sausage mushrooms and ham. Damn it was good when it was being chewed. I only had two pieces...and I chewed alot and took small bites..shoulda counted for something.... |

Last night, Ebon made chicken and rice. OMG, it was good! :tease:
Tonight, we're having turkey. I'm not sure exactly what it will be but I took a package of ground turkey out of the freezer to thaw. |
Started a Moroccan inspired tajine: shallots, japanese sweet potatoes, chick peas, red peppers, dried apricots, pork loin in small chunks, home preserved lemons, green piccoline olives, a little pureed tomato, a little Chardonnay, some harissa......it has been simmering, and the house smells divine. I will drink the rest of the Chardonnay with it I think! Can't wait! I will have lunch out today, while running errands....

For dinner I am making Lentil soup..
onions and carrots sautee in a bit of olive oil.. then adding water, beef cubes, lentils, salsa, spinach, and seasonings. Tastes fantastic! |

Tonight, I made a salad with a spring mix, red pepper, mushrooms and dressing. Light ranch for Ebon and a balsamic with basil for me. To go with that, I made loaded mashed potatoes with the middle flattened down into a mashed potato bowl and scooped crumbled ground turkey with onions, scallions, mushrooms and bell pepper in it. It was super yummy and not too bad for us either (if you don't count the potatoes)!

A repeat of last night's supper, and for dessert a fresh fruit compote consisting of blueberries, strawberries and sliced peaches, topped with light cool whip. Yum!
