Hehe,

We would have a lot of fun at the laundromat...I would break out the gossip mags and discuss what all of the stars were wearing. We need to think of maybe a bike wash to catch their attention?

Have fun today,

Zimmy

Wow, you have a great job network built up for you. I'm glad they are all being helpful.
We'd have alot of fun at the laundromat, laughing and stuff

Its always fun to talk about what the stars are wearing....how they are wearing their hair etc....
A bike wash is a good idea...we'll have to think of another way to get Sunny here since hy doesn't have a bike

Zimmeh 04-17-2011 07:43 AM

How about we have a car wash? This way, the bois who have the bikes can come and the bois who have other vehicles can come to?

I walked over 4 hours yesterday and my back is letting me know about it today..

How was the rest of your Saturday?

Zimmy

Good Morning Everyone,

I am meeting Violane again this afternoon. Her friend is a computer programmer and she is going to take my resume back to her job and see if she can help me find a job. I still haven't heard anything from Bloomingdales, which means, that I more than likely did not get the job.

Have a wonderful day and I am going to have coffee..

Zimmy

Wow, you did alot of walking yesterday, I know I couldn't walk that long.
As for Bloomie's, like Gail said it may take awhile for them to contact you
Have fun today!!!

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are all having a terrific day. This afternoon, I'm going to a family birthday party to celebrate my nephew's 12th birthday. It should be alot of fun and it'll be good to see everyone...I think I'll play on the trampoline while I'm there
Have a wonderful day!

Zimmeh 04-17-2011 08:30 AM

Have fun today and I loved being able to attend my nephew's 14th birthday party. I am still remaining positive about the job with Bloomingdales and from what I have heard, is that they normally don't give you their business cards unless they like you.

Hi Strappie! Its nice to see you. I won't be able to make it because of funds being low :( Hopefully next year I'll be able to.

Strappie 04-17-2011 10:22 AM

Cuddlyyyyyyyyyyyy,

I'm so sorry... perhaps there is away for you to go? I know the site has set up some things for ppl to donate $$ for ppl that are having hard times or short on cash. Maybe it would be a possibility for you to look into?

I would love to meet you and I know there are many more that would love to also.

How is Sunday treating you??

Good Afternoon Strappie,

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend either. I too am looking for a job and just moved at the end of March.

How are you doing today?

Well I'm glad you will consider it. I've known you for hmm years and I would better yet it would be an honor to meet you.

Sounds like you will have a great time with your nephew. I also have a 12 yr old nephew, he is my everything!! He's our only boy in the family (well if you don't count me, lol) I have all sisters and my sister's all had girls so he is special to all of us. I just hope he don't turn out to be a wuss from all the girls making him a softie, but then again Guys need to soften up a bit.

My Sunday entails some clothes being washed and working around the house dusting and cleaning. Sounds like fun ey? lol

Zimmeh 04-17-2011 10:38 AM

Afternoon Miss Scarlett,

When I loved to Seattle last year, I had my career advisor at DeVry update my resume. I'm still thinking it's my bachelors degree that is stopping me.

How are you today?

Hiya Zimmyyyy,

I'm great thank you. My Sunday Fun Day is going to be spend in the house doing chores. I played all day yesterday so today is the day. This once a week chore isn't so fun for me, but I like a clean house so I guess that is the pay off.

How are you?

I have 2 nephews, both 12 and 2 nieces and one brother and one sister so in my family it pretty much equals out. You're right that Guys need to soften up just a bit

By the way, I know you're single...you really need to stop by here more often!

It may be your degree, i run into something similar when sending mine out. Because of my 20+ years in family law most solo attorneys and small firms immediately reject me because of salary requirements. Large firms reject me for the same reason. On top of that i am so specialized that it takes forever to find a position in my concentration. It's good that your advisor helped with your resume but you never know...since the job market keeps evolving due to the economy it might be a good idea to have it checked again.

i am good...still slowly waking up...slept late because i was up late talking with a friend...have laundry going and the grocery store awaits (ugh)...

How about you?

I suppose I do need to swing in more often. I peek my head in hmm about once a month or so. I'm not much of a poster on the threads, I like "chatting". I like to get my one liner's in.. lol I've been single way too long. Sometimes I think after 5 yrs of single hood that I'm not ready and other times I think, "holy crickies I'm not getting any younger and I miss cuddling" so ya know.. it will happen when it happens. So for now I will just go with the flow.

I used to hate being single but now its ok although if the right Butch came along....But like you, I'm just going with the flow

I've always told single people/friends that if we continue to look and look we become so overwhelmed to the point we are almost "begging" for someone. So to me it sounds and looks pathetic.I tell them to relax and let things happen. Things will happen when we least expect it.

So hang in there sweetie.. we will find the one for us soon enough!! Heck they just might be around the corner!

Thats how I look at it too...it does look pathetic and it will happen when its meant to happen and as you said, usually when we least expect it.

If they were around the corner it would be nice but for now I'm happy with me

I don't think a lot of people think the way you do. I must say you have a good attitude. Some don't always look with in. They continue to put the blame on the ex, when in fact we need to reach deep inside ourselves to find the answers, what went wrong, how do I change it, why do I react like that and so on and so on...

The first place to find a Partner is with in ourselves. Fixin, mending and growing in our life.

You have a jump on everyone else!!

msW8ing 04-17-2011 11:31 AM

Yep what you said Strappie..Check the baggage at the door. lol It's not healthy to go into a relationship until one has exercised the "demons of relationships past" and own up to thier own flaws and do some self improvement.

I'm thinking that is the reason as to why I cannot find a job. My degree is in the Business Information Systems from DeVry. It basically is the business side of computer programming. I can do SQL databases in Access, web design and other things.

I'm going tomorrow morning and have the DeVry career services department update my resume.

I'm headed to meet Violane at 3pm today and have coffee.

Have fun today,

Zimmy

Absolutely! You have to own your stuff...

My counselor asked me a few months ago what i thought was the worst part of the horrible relationship we were discussing...she did not expect my answer: "i was." Had i not been in some really bad head space from the sudden break-up of my previous relationship, i never would have been in the one we were discussing - not that the other person was without spot, just saying i never would have gotten involved with them in the first place...

ruthie14 04-17-2011 12:11 PM

Heyyy Strappppeeee
.. Glad to see you around! I won't be able to make the reunion because of financial issues... but maybe one day. I honestly don't know if I will ever be able to take time off from work again any time soon, let alone afford the airfare etc. Sok tho... I got to meet a lot of folks at the bash.. It was a lot of fun!

Zimmy... good luck with the resume thing. I am thinking I need to do the same.

I will be singing Brahms requiem this evening with a chorus I am in, New jersey Master Chorale, and philly orchestra folks. It is such a joy I cannot tell you!

Have a great sunday everyone!

It's good you are having it reviewed, etc. There are jobs out there and sometimes it takes a while to find the right one.

Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a good day and are enjoying your evening. I just got home from my 12 year old nephew's birthday party. I am totally stuffed from all the food, cake (think I'm coming down from a sugar high). My nephew really liked the XBox game I got him....he got alot of XBox games and ITunes cards...must be the in thing lol
Anyway, I'm off to soak in a hot bubble bath while I come down off this sugar high. Have a wonderful night and sweet dreams when you get there!!

Zimmeh 04-17-2011 06:22 PM

Good Evening Everyone,

CF, that birthday party sounded really cute and fun! Wait until he turns 14 and gets a girlfriend.

I had a wonderful time today and the store manage for Swarovski called me and asked me to come in for a job interview. It is a part time position, but it is better than nothing. Matt, my roommate, is the one who referred me for the position.

Have a wonderful night!

Zimmy

Strappie 04-17-2011 06:46 PM

hi Zimmyyyy....

good luck with that!! Hey you know... When one door opens the gates open wider. So Good luck to you!!

Have a great week Singles!

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are all having a good day no matter what you are doing.
Zimmy, the party was fun. Right now my nephew's "love" is his baseball bat and soccer ball. Will be interesting when he gets older and gets a girlfriend. I'm glad your getting your resume updated. What day is your interview?
Today, I have some cleaning and laundry to do that I didn't get done over the weekend. Its supposed to be a nice day.
Time for another cup of coffee and a cat has crawled up on my lap as to say "i want attention....now!" So I'll catch you all later!
