Knowing that we have an Ah-MAZ-ing TechBubba in our beloved Linus. He slayed the server dragons and got us back to a good working point and I am SO. VERY. THANKFUL. FOR. HIM. |

Waking up to another beautiful day, filled with sunshine & cooler temps (yay for keeping Texas summer away a lil' longer). Celebrating my mom's birthday today, with a lil' surprise party for her at Bingo tonight before work. Celebrating a friend's birthday today, too... with girl's night tonight ~ with trashy reality tv, pizza & frozen daquiris. Finding our passports, after they were "misplaced" during the move 2 months ago. Weeeee let the vacation destination search begin! |

Taking my dear friend who is a Stone Butch to Hys doc to get a hernia checked out..as we walked in Hy hands me Hys cell phone, coffee cup, keys to hold my hands were full so when Hy handed me Hys wallet I just stuck it in my bra (yes it is a second purse for some of us lol) Forgetting all about it when the doc mentioned surgery, needed to go get appt for ultrasound..So off the hosp to set it up we go..as Hy is getting out of my car, Hy asks for Hys wallet..I pulled it out of my bra and Hy looked at me like :| I said geesh it's just boob sweat..not missing a beat Hy says.." Wow bag balm" roflmao ahahahahahahaha

I'm DONE with this semester! Finished my last final, and should have all A's. That means one more class this summer and my student teaching, and that master's degree is bagged! I'm so relieved.

I was strangely relieved..the kind of relief that turns into joy, when I saw that a huge ant colony had multiplied beneath my fourwheeler seat; I realized no more work could be done on the bike today.

Last night - received a text after turning in for the night that resulted in a lively late night dance around the den before going back to bed with a huge goofy grin on my face cuz' i'd just had soooo much fun!

- having my boundaries pushed, and really following through, because of the intense love & trust we have - regardless of my self image issues - feeling like the absolute most beautiful, desirable girl in the world to Him & working on a present for Him for when He got home which indeed used every little bit of confidence i had within me to do... Seeing His reaction & His being so anxious to get it *smiles* (sorry for taunting You all day Daddy LOL) - and then being so so proud of me -- and one downright happy guy! *blushes*

After a very stressful, unexpected drive to "the big city" for what started out as repairs to my work laptop, but ended in replacing the laptop and then finding out the replacement doesn't work either....
I ended the day in much joy because I got to go pick fresh strawberries and have a relaxing fun afternoon!! And I got to enjoy a VERY beautiful, cool, sunny day and even found a rainbow after dinner!! |
I was nominated for my town's annual "Best Garden Contest! It is about our front yards- what is seen from the street.
LOL... I'm turning into an old fart gardener!! But, it is nice to get recognition about something I put a lot of pride and work into. Probably someone in the big houses with big budgets will win! |

I have a family of these at my bird feeder this morning. The parents are still feeding the baby but trying to entice it into eating from the feeder on its own. The baby would rather sit on top of the feeder fluttering wings with beak gaping. They are Black-crested Titmouses (Titmice?) and they are bringing me such joy this morning.

I found joy at being taken out for breakfast, and in my cards and special treats. My ex-husband even called to wish me a happy mom's day. I am so lucky!

Dino and I were watching the hummingbirds at the feeders, and like Arwen, we too have oodles of titmice at our feeders. I built a bluebird nest, and have the small baby bluebirds sticking their heads out of it to watch Dino and myself. I guess we're a sight to see with the frogs. |
So happy- my dog is doing much better today. Realized I had some Metacam and it is doing the trick!

it was lovely to spend time with my son today...
he took me to point reyes....a beautiful drive, a stunning day, great food and the company of my boy (who is a man) who fills me with pride and love... I could 'go on', I won't though... just to say that it fills me with joy to see that, as I made all efforts to share and be my Best Self with him, it worked...I did the best I could, as I could... anyway...it was a time shared which brought me joy...and for that, I am thankful.... |

I had a little joy explosion on the way to work this morning.
I got to work at 6am to get my day started a little early and came through the security gate to start heading toward my building and noticed some newly-planted rose bushes and such in the gardens. I work on a huge campus with many buildings and have always appreciated the care and attention that my company pays toward making this a nice place to work. This morning, I passed someone who had also come to work early to jog around the outside track that skirts the outer rim of our security-gated campus and another person who was doing some type of yoga out by one of the huge 100-year old oak trees. It made me feel really, really thankful to work at such a beautiful campus where it's secure and well-groomed with plenty of room and opportunity to run, bike, do yoga, or use the free gym. Joy for my job. That's a rarity but I'm lovin' it today. :) |
