Last night I was roaming around in the big freezer and found the last of the turkeys I bought on sale in January. So as I really like turkey sandwiches I am now cooking a 12 pounder for the heck of it, and sandwiches. I also will have the regular things to go with it for dinner to night.

I bought a sub while at the store today. It was beautiful. Honey oat roll, bacon, vinegar and chipotle Southwest sauce with lettuce, spinach, banana peppers, black olives, pickles, tomatoes and cukes. Oatmeal raisin and white macadamia nut cookies for dessert. Soda because I like the bubbles and it goes best with subs. I am full, full, full.

Salmon patties , so I made a few burgers with lettuce, sliced tomatoes and onion and pickles with a glass of sweet tea and potato logs

A small bowl of broccoli salad and it was simply amazing!! Broccoli, onion, cheese, bacon, mayo with a just a touch of sugar.

Old time sausage, cheesy eggs, sauteed veggies, and sprouted grain toast with olive oil on it, instead of butter.

We had a sampler plate of roasted Lamb Gyros, falafel, and homemade fries that came with crumbled feta, and small bowls of dark green salad with yummy tomatoes dressed in a creamy garlic-cheese-type sauce.

Pizza, because we spent the last four hours baking a cake, blueberry muffins from scratch and mini banana nut loaves (no sugar, honey instead and coconut oil, with shredded coconut and chia seeds added)

We were going to grill, but Mother Nature said no. Instead I'm roasting a lemon garlic pork loin as well as some yellow squash and vidalia onion that I tossed in olive oil, garlic, salt & pepper. Also on the side - cucumber and tomato salad in a lemon dill Greek yogurt dressing, and sriracha deviled eggs.

I made a spicy watermelon salad from The Chew.
4 cups cubed watermelon 2 jalapenos, sliced 4 cups baby arugula 1 cup mint leaves, chopped zest and juice of 1 orange zest and juice of 2 limes 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil salt black pepper 8 oz crumbled feta 1. In a large bowl, add the jalapenos, arugula, mint and watermelon 2. Make the dressing: orange juice and zest, lime juice and zest, olive oil and salt and pepper 3. Toss in the dressing and serve with feta on top It was a nice change for me and I did like it but I would decrease the jalapeno and the mint in the future and I would probably use a mix of greens instead of only arugula. I had some red velvet cake for dessert. I was going to make a black bean burger too but I'm just too stuffed. |
I'm having "Baked Chicken I Don't Know". Meaning I baked some chicken without thinking about what I would have with it and now I don't know what I want with it...maybe just some stir fry veggies.

Dinner
Happyfemme had clam chowder and potato skins and I had lobster bisque with crab cakes. Yummy! We ate out.

I had roasted veggie pizza...my once every couple weeks thang...

Tonight's dinner was 2 cubed pork steaks with a dill pickle and a couple stuffed green olives.

FRESH grouper with roasted garlic herbed spices.....steamed vegetables.....mango key lime pie!

Tonight we are having steak and fries for my son, I will have a salad with my steak. MMMMMM I may well have a fry or two, they are hard to get away from.

I bought some eggplant...so, I'm going to bake the eggplant with some sauce and cheese and serve it with some pasta and garlic bread.

Last night was crawfish with all the fixings and beer to drink then we had what the restaurant calls a Willy wonka dessert.
Tonight is what evers we can find in the house. |
