my daughter finally got her engagement ring today on her birthday. They announced at Christmas that they were getting married but were waiting to get the ring. It is beautiful. Three diamonds, platinum. He wanted to have it all paid off before he gave it to her. He is a good money manager. His timing was perfect for her birthday. I loved the suprise as much as she did!

i usually dont notice stuff like this... my brain seems to be changing....
the birds are singing... NWGA sorta sounds like a sanctuary in spring... the bartlett pears are blooming... as are plum trees... daffodils.... tulips are sprouting... lotsa other stuff is breaking thru the ground cover... i wish now i knew the names of all this stuff... my cat... edgrr... is stretched out across my front step... soaking in the sunshine... i wanna go outside and play... thinking about all this made me realize that this weekend i will have a playmate... that made me smile bigger! |

i smiled cuz i realized after remembering and thinking on it for a day and a half that i meant BRADFORD pears... the bartletts are my fav fruit... but the bradfords are the first things that make spring beautiful in my neck of the woods

Fourteen more days
Yesterday, I went to the Optical shop and bought the perfect frame that looks great it goes well with my Silver hair.
I get them next week thank God for good insurance becuase nice frames are expensive. Today I am going shopping for two nice summer shirts. Fourteen more days and my sweetie will be here in Austin how exciting.!!! |
What made me smile today....
Coffee with my favorite creamer (italian sweet cream) ~ waiting on the counter for me this morning. Seeing the first buds start to open up on our huge azalea bushes in the front of the house. Unpacking a few more boxes and loading up more. By the time the 19th rolls around, we'll have everything moved & put up before the movers come for the heavy furniture! |
Sunshine
Going to spend time with mom and shop!!!! The furbabies cuddled up together...they are so dang cute. Excitement about BFP Reunion getting closer and talk about roommates and what to bring and when to head that way. A good morning conversation which is a wonderful way to start this amazing day. Quiet time at the moment, enjoying my clock ticking and the sounds of the house. |

While sitting in a traffice jam on the way home, while on the bridge I looked out onto the Gulf of Mexico and watched as a pelican found its dinner and dove right towards it. And I thought.. ahhh... sushi & nice cool glass of moscato...=):wine:
