Three day weekends
I am enjoying my :tea: coffee and listening to music and posting beautiful pictures to my BFP friends.
Its my day off I negotiated with my client a three day weekend.. starting this weekend I will always have three day weekends. This is one of the benefit of having your own business gig you could arrange your schedule... well sometimes. |
Bob is running around nakid!!! (Sans harness) He is quite busy rolling around in the bed and generally amok sort of behavior. Punk.

Running for 3 wonderfully solitary miles with our baby boydog Brando. No one but him, me and a few random squirrels and a deer along the trail. It's time to start shedding the 10 lbs. I packed on in the past year of school!

This happen last evening...
My best friend of almost 26 years came down for a visit (spur of the moment type of thing). She brought her girlfriend down to meet me.

Absolutely, without a doubt... THRILLED to meet another Queer Farmer in MY AREA!! Two wonder men that I can sit and have a conversation with about all the things I love and they love too! Two conscious queer men that have the same concerns about the environment, love preserving and canning, animals and MOST of all, enjoy sitting out by the fire, drinking wine, getting tipsy and talking about queer things.

Winning the biggest basket full of pampering goodies at the brunch today! The red rose in that funky vase that we were given as a thank you gift. Brought me great joy...:rrose: and when I got home my furbabies were so happy to see me! |
Lunch
I went to take my dad out to lunch and he ended up paying!
Then I went to help my mom take a shower so she could go to the doctor. After that, I changed the linen on her bed and folded the rest of the sheets for her bed. |
My time in purgatory with my current employer is coming to an end after one very long year. Today I was offered a kick-ass job with a kick-ass Fortune 500 company, close to home, complete with an excellent compensation and benefits package and really great perks. I couldn't be happier as I prepare to embark on what I fully expect to be my final career employment transition. Life is so very good!

Using My mom's computer for awhile and coming on the Planet which I missed so much ....... but My happiest bit of joy was brought to Me by the woman I love, and no one can match that :-)

That very nasty thunderstorm that rolled through around 2am last night did NOT flood out my little nest of Momma Chickadee and babies. I've enjoyed watching Mommy and Daddy feeding the chatty tiny babies every morning.

The outside cat wandering by for a pet (or to spy on the birds in the tree, or both) The morning quite before my amusement park of a day starts and as usual for me in any of these lists, a train signaling in the distance I am so happy here, my job, my attitude, my future, they all are quietly joyful |
I just got my own place, it's the perfect size for me and the furry one and it's in the same village as I'm living now ...
No furniture, or cooker, washer, shower ... but damn, I have my own home again! :seeingstars: :clap: :cheer: :freak: :happyjump: this is what tiggles will be doing in her new home ... :playingcat: and my wonderful little brother got me a little something so I can celebrate! :party: :flyingweed: :smokejoint: |

This morning i had the chance to babysit a sweet little abandoned Himalayan kitten a client and her boss brought up to my office before they went to Court. They found this poor creature shivering in the parking lot...client is a vet tech and naturally her boss is a vet...they estimate the kitten to be about 5 weeks old.
When my boss arrived before Court i told her about our little guest and she just about knocked me over getting to the box under my desk...i have a funny feeling a certain little kitty will have a new home very soon. (My boss had to have her beloved Himalayan put to sleep late last year.) |

I have several events this summer, and was hoping that perhaps by some strange twist of fate [miracle], I would be able to make [afford] the Reunion in October...but I was just "voluntold" that I am going to Haiti then for an entire week! OMG! Haiti! Rebuilding the community there, schools, medical attention, water, homes, clothes, shoes, food, all the things we take for granted they still don't have re-established...so I have been voluntold to go and help and serve...and sorry all much as I was looking forward to it, I'm going to Haiti. I'm going! OMG! I'm going to Haiti! :) :cheer: |

Today my joy was found in nature as it usually is. I got my grass cut just before a storm rolled in, great timing!!!! It started to rain pretty hard, but instead of closing the garage door , I walked out in it and contemplated going for a run in my sweaty grass cutting clothes. Instead I sat on the front step and listened to the rain. I watched it water my flower beds. I love the smell of the cedar mulch especially when it's wet. I thought how beautiful and green the trees and grass are, how the flowers are so colorful. The very sidewalk my grass covered sneakers were setting on ,just a few short months ago, I was breaking my back and freezing my toes, as I shoveled the ungodly amount of snow. Everything was dead and bleak. It doesn't even seem like the same place. Winter seems like a bad dream. It doesn't seem like it even happened , doesn't seem like it could have happened. Just a faded memory now. Nature amazes me.
