Glee...a guilty pleasure
Yes, I watch Glee. Am I a "gleek" I don't know. What I do know is that I love Sue Sylvester played by Jane Lynch. Last week Sue stepped into Madonna's shoes for a shot by shot rendition of "Vogue". It was great. Anyone else watch this show? Who is your favorite character or what is your favorite scene?
|
I watch it. I started out because I'd been told by so many people that I would love the music - and I definitely do! The talent of those kids is amazing! At first I didn't care much about the storyline but it's grown on me. Can't really say who my favorite character is - more of an ensemble cast for me. Can't think of a favorite scene, but have enjoyed so many of the musical numbers. But yeah, I tune in each week. :mohawk: One a side note, it's Puck's fault that I now sport a faux hawk :buzz cut:

Can't get enough.
Since the first episode, hooked. |

I :stillheart:LOVE:stillheart: GLEE!!!! I didn't want anyone to be confused as to how I felt about the show. |
Know those new Windows commercials where people think MS created it just for them and/or based on an idea they had (forgetting that they didn't tell anyone about said idea)?
Well, I'm one of those people and Glee is MS. I love Madonna and had hoped they would do something using her material, but to give me a "Power of Madonna" episode (in addition to the fabulous Vogue rendition)??? Glee loves me. :stillheart: |
Oh and yes! I thought the Sue Sylvester/Vogue thing was STELLAR! And au so magnifique!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the show.....did I mention that? :dance1: |
If you can check out the upcoming TV Guide. It has the cast of Glee on the cover. The women are dressed in costumes that highlight Madonna's career. Got to love Jane Lynch's look. If I could figure out how to post the picture I would. :beatcomputer:

I admit it. I watch the show. I am hooked.
The first episode I watched pulled me right in...it was the one where the gay guy (yeah, I watch the show every week, but, as usual, know no one's name), came out of the closet. I thought it was freakin' hilarious. |
Missed the first few episodes. And then over on facebook, comments from the kids I have done shows with tweaked my interest. Hooked! And like Gemme, I think that they made it for me. LOL!
Last week's episode was peppered with "taking time to get to know yourself" after a breakup and not rushing in to anything - HELLO (also the show's theme!)?? When the director of Vocal Adrenaline says to Will that he still didn't really know who he was - just coming out of a long marriage - again I say .. Hello??? The music, the dances - I love how they have instrumentalists just "hanging around" waiting for jam sessions. And I love Jane Lynch as Sue Sylvester. But I've liked her in most anything she's done. Having been a show choir kid in high school, I can say we didn't have it quite that bad. And we had football players and cheerleaders in our group. The only downside was that the cheerleaders insisted on picking our outfits. Which was always great for the cheerleaders, but not so great for everyone else's figures. Of course, I thought I was fat in High School, too. Looking back at pictures I realize the folly of that thought. Show choir saved me though, kept me in school. My parents used it as their motivational tool. Not every kid is going to be a jock or cheerleader. They all deserve to shine, somehow. And that's how Sybelle.... C's it! |
Monty, don't have a clue what Glee is...too busy watching TCM - not there's a program!!

I may or may not be absolutely ECSTATIC over this upcoming episode. |

Glee and Madonna what a match. What did you think about the show tonight? I especially liked Sue (Jane Lynch) going after Will's hair all the time. She has some funny lines and her delivery is right on. Did anyone notice the pamphlets in Emma's office? I know on the first show they said some really bizarre things. I wish I could remember them. I liked the songs and how they fit into the show. "Like a Virgin" was great. "Vogue" was fantastic.
:choir: |
STOP.
I fucking HATE premature Gleejaculation. |

Saw the pamphlets. One said something like "In love with your stepdad?" |
Glee pamphlets
I found a website (of course there is one) that has the titles of the pamphlets in Emma's office. They are:
1. RADON: The Silent Killer 2. My Mom's Bipolar and She Won't Stop Yelling 3. So, You Like Throwing Up, 4. Wow, There's a Hair Down There 5. I Can't Stop Touching Myself 6. DIVORCE: Why Your Parents Stopped Loving You :pointing: enjoy :cracked: |
I thought the show was great last night!! They have some great actors/singers on the show. I loved it when they did Vogue, it was pretty awesome!! I give it 2 thumbs up, hehe
|
Yeah, they showed "Vogue" at the end of last week's show.....VERY awesome!
I love this show! |
Sue Sylvester!!!!!
VOGUE! Loved it! |
Like a Virgin
What did you all think about the three couple version of "Like a Virgin"? I thought the cutting to each couple singing the song was very well done. Santana has a very good voice too. What do you think about the aftermath when Rachel and Finn were talking about their "dates" and they both lied about "doing it". For Rachel she pretended like she did when she really didn't. Finn said he chickened out, but actually had sex.

I didn't notice that......I think I saw it all. Don't be hatin' The Idol, MsD.... :ballerina: |

To have a good story line and good music is great. Good for Rachel. The preggo cheerleader storyline was needing a break. And based on promos (think the woman getting waxed for Will in that preview) other stars will be shooting for guest spots on the show. On MySpace, they have an audition invitational. One of the kids I'm in a show with locally, made it to their regional auditions. Not sure what happened with it yet. Crossing fingers. |
The Idol of America did run over and the end of Glee was cut off by about a minute or so, so I am looking forward to the encore episode too, since you never know what they are going to throw at you in the last minute.
