I am lighting a sacred candle in a vein of silver, at the world's oldest monastery (1,603 years old), on the Abdin plateau, simply for the smile of an incredibly cute (but hard to please), babygirl.

Today I lit a candle for those that suffer from disease and pain. The pain it causes them and their loved ones. I also lit it for understanding,
so I understand what they all go through and how I might help. Lastly, I lit it for loved ones lost, for one reason or another. Helping to keep faith, love and hope alive in all of us. |

Today I lit a candle for guidance. My (adult) kids asked me to move back home to the San Francisco Bay Area. I need to make a wise choice on so many levels........ :cat:

So, today I light a candle for the jobless, homeless and the hungry everywhere There are days when those of us that have the above mentioned take for granted our gifts without thinking about those that are doing without. |

This morning I lit my candle and prayed for all the stray animals in the world that get captured by animal control. Put in a cage to wait for a home or death because of overcrowding or just because they're aren't healthy enough or because someone thinks they're to old to be adopted out.
Always remember, having a pet comes with a big responsibility. Don't put off the spay/neuter for any reason. Don't think just because they've grown up that they aren't cute anymore. Lastly, don't just kick them out of the house to fend for themselves just because they had an accident on the floor. Figure out why it happened and take care of them. |
Today I will light several candles. One for Tommi and his family's loss of a beloved member, Dusty. I pray the trip across the Bridge be joyful for Dusty. I light a candle to help my family through the sorrow of my mothers passing. The 5th is the day she passed 3 years ago but it seems like not even a year has passed. She was truely the light that sparked all of ours, Her legacy is now 135 people would not have lived had she not have been the wonderful woman she was...And still counting! I love you Mamma with everything I hold dear! Missing you endlessly! |

Today I lit my candle for our friend that started this thread. I see she hasn't been here to light a candle for 2 days. I have a gut feeling something is wrong. So, for Spirit Dancer and her family, I pray for strength, better health and her future. She has certainly been a good friend to many. I think the power of prayer is strong, no matter who you pray to........lets all band together and send those healing vibes her way. I know we are a group filled with passion and compassion.
