I need suggestions, I have been calling him "he" since X joined our family, but he deserves the *respect* that a name (and 4 dogs) affords.

It was an accident! Sometimes I call people Gertie or Greg. Bob didn't bother to list the 10+ other names that I came up with, some of which were RAD and not even remotely mortifying. Bob is the one who is sick. :(
