Well I don't know about all women but I do know what I love and they are pretty universal regardless of whom I'm going to visit and aren't not required. I do get all excited when I find any one of the following:
(I am thinking if I'm going over to someone's house to hang out for a while or to spend a week) A TV in the guest room is wonderful, so is a fan.... I actually do like TVs in every room in the house cuz I'm into CNN like that. I like fresh cut flowers. I love the handpushy handsoap at every sink (no washing my hands with dawn isn't the same thing!) An air hockey table is nice or just a pool (sniff cuz I don't have one)...or access to a computer in case I didn't bring my laptop. :) (I have an air hockey table ;)) Control over the remote....no I really don't want to watch fishing shows all week or MTV or ESPNs 1-30. (really.) Ice tea. <---if anyone knows me well enough that I'm going to their house then this is already in the fridge and ready. I stayed at a good friend of mine's house in Florida last year and she had all the things that she had in her bathroom in the guest bathroom too which was really nice. So there were q-tips, neosporin, bandaids, tylenol....ect. I came home and did the same in my guest bathroom. I thought it was really thoughtful and perfect so guests didn't need to ask for it. |
Hot running water and a LARGE bathtub for bubble baths ;) ;)
|
Material things are nice but there have been plenty of times in my life when I couldn't afford much. I've never had any woman come to my house to watch my tv and leave feeling unhappy or unsatisfied.
|
Hmmm
If I'm going to someone home.. what impresses me.. hmmmm books.. books.. books.. books... books... books... books... books... a clean bathroom a clean kitchen and did I say books? |
A puppy would be awesome!
|
yummy scented Candles (especially at bubble bath time)
"fixin's" to make blueberry pancakes warm, clean, soft, cozy place to curl up every night with my luv-bug-pooches |
I like to leave my underwear on the bathroom floor, to give her something to do, you know, so she can feel womanly.
|
Wrong list. That goes on the list of things to make partners bitter and, in time, vengeful.

in all seriousness now...
I would like to see
cleanliness is a good sign..but OCD cleanliness is a red flag dogs and cats are good..snakes are not. food in the fridge that is not processed or solely microwavable. ecofriendly environment is important too. Do you recycle? Are you concerned about the world? lack of alcohol and drug culture. A bottle of wine or a small amount of beer is ok. Three bars in the house and a fridge just for the beer is not pretty soaps set out for my visit in MY bathroom my own coffee mug something to do with horses somewhere in the house fresh sheets a nice library even if you own one of those kendall things. Good lord I still dont know what an ipod is and you all are doing something weird with books like you did with music..stop it! if you use scented candles, incense, etc, none of it is vanilla because you know and havent forgotten it makes me gag groceries. Let me make you dinner or bake something... you. If I come to you, spend time with me. Its you I want...thats why I am there... |
sighing..oh yes.....

The following is what I, as a (butch) woman have (or not) in my house:
I don't drink alcohol. No alcohol in my house. I work with dogs every day. No dogs (or cats or critters) in my house. I love to cook. I have a well stocked pantry and fridge. I don't like anyone messing around in my kitchen, although I will make exceptions on occasion and try not to lose my mind in the process. I prefer to cook and you do the dishes. I'm not crafty or creative in that sense. No macrame plant hangers..........actually no plants in my house at this time. Maybe I will have them again at some time. Most all my books are in storage. I live in a studio apartment. I have a double bed.....I live in a studio apartment. What idiot would not put clean sheets on the bed if you have a date coming over for supper? My house is clean, especially the bathroom and kitchen. I live in CA and have been recycling for at least 20 years. I can tolerate limited smelly candles, incense. I do have some in my house. I prefer fresh air to smelly stuff. I have bubble bath stuff because I like to take a bubble bath on occasion. It's not really smelly though. I have a 'dyke' labeled pushy thingy soap dispenser in my bathroom. Don't have that at my kitchen sink. I have plenty of coffee mugs of all sizes. Pick what you want for this stay. I have a nice deck with a little creek gurgling. This creek runs behind my building and you can hear it at night when all is quiet. Maybe, later, I will post what I want to see in a femme's house. We will both be women so that well be an interesting comparison on what different types of women want in their home. |
i like to have a variety of different sizes of tampons and i share--just don't use the last one.
|
Things i would love to see.....
Flowers, flowers and more flowers, sweet smelling lovely flowers. Sunshine through the window. Whispy shears letting in the gentle breeze. Pictures of "your" family. A clean bathroom. Books on everything. Music, and preferrably 70s rock. A comfy cosey couch to snuggle on. Dim lighting with candles that smell heavenly knick nacks that show "your" personality |

This thread may be depressing me.
I am, how shall I say this... spartan. Perhaps infamously so. (SHUT IT JUNE). I'm not opposed to having nice things or things especially for the mythical "her", but I like everything in my home to serve a purpose. There's very little in my home that is extraneous. I prefer my Kindle to books. I prefer my Netflix via Wii to DVDs. I think you get the idea... simple and uncluttered. Perhaps to a fault. |

Then again I did gift someone with my "old" Kindle which is still attached to my Amazon account and she's able to read all of the books I've bought. But that's just one person. |

Hey, :( Can I have a garage with a shop - or at least a LARGE shed- for all my power tools AND a small loft for my art stuff? Just askin' ;) for when I'm asked to do another oil change. I'll be sure to put my vanity with all my "femmie" stuff up in the art loft. Andrew, Can I put extra power strips down on my Xmas list? |

I'm antiquated in that I like the feel and heft of a book.. Although the thought of having a couple hundred books at my finger tip when stuck at the airport is very nice... |
