Often my favorite part of going to the movies is watching the movie trailers.

I love this movie more every time I see it.

This is not exactly a trailer, but a posted clip from one of my fav movies. It is the beginning of Catherine Deneuve's seduction of Susan Sarandon.
My other favorite part of this film is the naked swim .. but I won't be greedy and take up the space with it ...

Black Orpheus
 

another favorite film: surrealistic, dark, romantic, and beautiful music.

I hope to gradually work my way to the acquisition of most of the Criterion Collection films.
In the mean time, this is one favorite. Oh! when she says, "My beast" in French, it breaks your heart!

My favorite movie ever.
 

This film was a political awakening for me .. one that led to my questioning any and all wars, and especially the David and Goliath presentations of war.

Fun stuff for me ... the other side

I love Brit comedy, and this one killed me ... so to speak!

Casablanca
 

I'm a sap when it comes to romantic movies ... and love Ingrid Bergman and Bogart. Crummy trailer, but I'm trying to stick to the "trailer" and not the clip when possible.

Dance movies!
 

Dirty Dancing 2 ... the dancing, especially in the nightclub scene, is simply awesome! All that sweat and glistening bodies, sensual moves, drool.

and yes, for the record, at this time, I can do most of, if not all, the dances seen on these clips. There's nothing better than dancing ... for me. Well, let me put dancing second :rofl:

Horror
 

I grew up watching old, scary movies on tv. Some of these films had a tongue in cheek quality or a funny bit, just so you could unclench your jaws. This one had one, but it is not on the clip ... two elderly women trying to peek in the room where strange noise emitted. One of the ladies decided that she should go first, the other bonked her on the head and knocked her out. Then, primly, she looked in the key hole just as the man was changing into a wolf ... she promptly fainted dead away on top of her friend. Well, it is kid humor after all.




then there is this one, where Dracula's daughter says, I don't drink ..... wine.

I saw this once in an undergraduate class - I thought it was a great movie!

I loved this movie!!!!!

I liked the woman bullfighter in this, though I am not a fan of bullfighting.

They totally sold this movie as a feel-good movie...

but it's one of my favorites

favorite scenes


annoyingly the commentary is on in this clip, but it's cool to hear more about the guy who played fran's dad. he's a great dancer. I like the lady playing fran's grandmother too.
