I love the 80's thread

Yes I'm guilty . I love the 80's. Thought I would start this thread for all of us 80's fans. I thought it would be fun to bring up some old things we use to wear, music we like , shows we use to watch . Maybe the cars we use to ride in ........
When I was a teenager, me and a few of my friends had a teen club, here in Houston and we had gay night for teens , I have such fond memories of that . We would put on shows (lipsinging) everyone would dressup so cute. It actually was written up in Seventeen Magazine one year........
I remember wearing alot of vintage things back then.
"Don't you forget about me"...Simple minds was our prom song

Dear Mr. Vernon,

We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. What we did WAS wrong, but we think you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us... In the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is ... a brain...
Andrew Clark: ...and an athlete...
Allison Reynolds: ...and a basket case...
Claire Standish: ...a princess...
John Bender: ...and a criminal...
Brian Johnson: Does that answer your question?

Sincerely yours,

the Breakfast Club.

1980's-Inspired Tattoos Are Probably the Best Tattoos Inspired by a Time Period (Excluding the 1830's, Duh)

http://www.blogcdn.com/www.urlesque....alf-tattoo.jpgThe internet loves its novelty tattoos. The internet also loves its references to the eighties. Combine all those things and whaddya get? Amazing 80's inspired tattoo art, as documented with ultimate precision by the good people at Ink Art Tattoos.

If we were, say, martial arts-practicing turtles of a certain age (i.e. teen), we'd probably describe these tattoos are "gnarly, dude" or something, and we'd probably be eating cartoon pizza while we said so. TURTLE TATTOO POWER!

rav?

Your post reminded me of my favorite Aerosmith song...

*Lyrics*

Every time that I look in the mirror
All these lines on my face gettin' clearer
The past is gone
It went by like dust to dawn
Isn't that the way?
Everybody's got their dues in life to pay

I know what nobody knows
Where it comes and where it goes
I know its everybody's sin
You got to lose to know how to win

Half my life is in books written pages
Live and learn from fools and from sages
You know its true
All the things come back to you

Sing with me, sing for the years
Sing for the laughter, sing for the tears
Sing with me, if its just for today
Maybe tomorrow the good lord will take you away
(x2)

Dream on, dream on
Dream yourself a dream come true
Dream on, dream on
Dream until your dream come true
Dream on, dream on, dream on...

Sing with me, sing for the years
Sing for the laughter and sing for the tears
Sing with me, if its just for today
Maybe tomorrow the good lord will take you away
