Hey Everyone!!!

Hey! I am Laney, an ultra-femme girl from Alabama. I guess that makes me a Southern belle ;) I am a fairly open book so if there is anything you want to know, just ask.

I joined the site a few days ago and have really enjoyed looking around, reading the threads and kind of getting a feel for the place. I "found" this site thanks to a thread on an alt lifestyle website, one that I am a volunteer for.

I'm glad people have taken the time to build and maintain sites, like this one and that one. Sites that allow like-minded people to discuss ideas and life and just be themselves; sites that make me feel like I am home. So, thanks to everyone who gives me a place to even post a "newbie introduction."

I am really looking forward to spending time here :)

Laney

From one ultra-Femme to another, Welcome Home Laney!

So very glad you are here...we've got a wonderful family! Make yourself at home!

LaneyDoll 04-09-2011 12:33 PM

Thanks Miss Scarlett! I love the term "Sparkly Femme." Someone recently referred to me as "Queen of the Glammed" and the sentiment made smile :)

i love that!

i have been picked on lately about the 15 minutes it takes me to get ready to go somewhere...but it's true, it's true! :innocent:

Suppose i should have told him i was speaking in "Ultra-Femme Minutes"...but hey, we are well worth waiting for! :eyebat:

LaneyDoll 04-09-2011 01:30 PM

I was also called "TwinkleBelle," lol.

I actually can get ready to go in 15 real world minutes. But that is no make-up and hair in a ponytail or neatly brushed. When I get ready to go out or to events, I indulge myself in two to three hours of bathing, shaving & lotioning, make-up (my eyes alone take 30-45 minutes), hairstyling, clothes and everything else that gives me nicknames such as those.

To go to dinner etc I can manage in a 45 mins to an hour. But I really like the treat of the few hours of self-pampering.

Apart from fleeing a burning building (and what happened that night is still being debated) there is no way this Sparkly Femme will leave the house without make-up and styled hair (i don't have enough to pull into a pony tail...LOL)...but i can still get ready in 15 minutes...:eyebat:

LOL. Yes, however it is the very scaled down version of fabulousness. My weekday routine is cut to the bone. But for the weekends, I indulge in my "dolling up" fetish.

Lost_punk_boi 04-10-2011 12:06 PM

Hahaha, I bet... I once lived in Alabama and was promised to be taken to your city for the clubs (I'm a huge club goer), but it never happened. I was in Tuscaloosa(?) at the time. Now that I think of it.... The only interesting place we went was to Hooters.... Oh well, I'll be doing some road tripping over the summer and am planning on returning there soon!!

LaneyDoll 04-10-2011 12:32 PM

Oooo, I can SHOW you an interesting place or two---or ten!

Pixie 04-10-2011 01:47 PM

Yes we can! Now when it comes to "dolling up" that takes me way longer than 15 minutes...

Laney, i love the "fabulousness" reference!

It takes you at least 15 minutes to sit up and open your eyes!

DomnNC 04-10-2011 10:08 PM

Welcome to the Planet Laney! Lots of awesome folks and wonderful conversation to be found here.

Admitted. In further defense the defendant respectfully states the immediate administration of coffee does speed that process along and to her credit at least she is not cranky during the aforementioned process...LOL

Ummmm, are you saying that you include that in your calculation of how long it takes me to get ready?

Of course! When I ask someone how long it takes them to get up, motivated, dressed and ready to head out to door in order to calculate what time I need to set an alarm clock for indeed it is factured into the equation andddd I did put a cup of coffee on said nightstand when I woke you so no, administration of coffee does not speed the process, lol.

Starbuck 04-11-2011 02:16 PM

Hi Laney, :welcome: to the Planet!!!

LaneyDoll 04-11-2011 03:48 PM

Thanks everyone!!! And to Miss Scarlett, we both know, that should you ever have to leave home without make-up, you could still rock fabulousness. Sparkly femmes and ultra femmes need only be themselves to catapult the world around them into a state of wonderful ;)

If it please the Court, at this time the defendant wishes to throw herself upon the mercy of the Court, withdraw her previous plea and enter a plea of guilty to the charge of taking a teensy bit longer than 15 minutes to get ready with regard to the incident in question.

Further the defendant respectfully requests the Court consider the following aggravating and mitigating factors when imposing sentence: the defendant recalls the question posed as "How long will it take you to get ready in the morning?" :innocent:

In addition, the defendant moves the Court that a jury of her peers, rather than the bench, decide sentencing in this case. :giggle:

Teensy???? An hour is teensy?? lol, I think ya know the answer on the mercy thing, chuckles.

Denied! Question was How long will it take you to get ready to head out the door, lol.

Heck no, denied! I know how that goes, lol.
