Finally Lady Gaga has managed to press all my buttons...
Wow!
|
This is so beyond awesome I hardly have words. The drag was not only genius, but the look on Biber's face is PRICELESS. And being a huge Queen fan, adding Brian May to all that awesomeness is liked adding a rich chocolate sauce to the tastiest cake on the planet.
I don't usually listen to the type of music Gaga performs, but I started to really like her when she was on Saturday Night Live on the season ending this year when Justin Timberlake hosted. She was hilarious! Here's a taste of her awesomeness from that episode: She also captured my heart in this performance: |
She looks sorta like Ralph Macchio from the Karate Kid and Dancing With The Stars

I love her!!! My 11 year old thinks she's AWESOME! We can share this music together and we're glad he thinks she's someone he looks up to, better than some douche bag foot ball jerk!!!
|
This is SO damn hot!!
Lord who would have ever thought she could pull off butch! I think she is awesome! |
I love that she stayed in drag all night. She was so adorable. I haven't ever listened to her music before, either. Now, a fan.
|
I bet Madonna hates her guts.
|
No disrecpect to Madonna, who I love too, but ............. Be Jealous material girl :-)

Ooh Lawdy Miss Clawdy I have loved The GaGa since I heard the first note come from her beautiful lips. Today I fell is lust with her - what a hot butch! You Rawk Gaga as always :hangloose: |
Why would we automatically presume that Madonna hates Lady Gaga for....what? For being a successful young woman? For being interesting? For being another artist that gay men are obsessed with?
Maybe Madonna is happy for Gaga. Maybe Madonna doesn't give a shit either way. |
Okay, I think I've figured out why the whole "I bet Madonna hates Lady Gaga!" thing irritated me so much.
It's like presuming that successful women can only become and remain successful women by clawing at the eyes of and being placed in strategic opposition to other women. Fuck that. |

Or, I was being nice to Madonna. You decide. Also: I am not naked. Just I'm wearing Betty Boop pj bottoms and a super ratty old A-Shirt. I guess it's okay for the pizza delivery-person to see me like that. |

http://www.thehollywoodgossip.com/20...ngs-you-and-i/ Imho she's hot in drag - the cigs I don't like, but HER, I like! Smooches, Keri |
I was only joking, I never meant to piss anyone off ~ I apologize
|
Say what You will....but that performance was genius, in my opinion.

That's all. Certainly no need to apologize! |
I had mixed reactions to Gaga's drag performance. I like that it mixed things up, but it was in no way "genius." (See: 1984, Annie Lennox. Very similar). So, it wasn't groundbreaking, plus she set a bad example by puffing the cigarette and swilling the beer. I also think she came off looking like a poor man's Ralph Macchio in The Outsiders and talked like she was on Jersey Shore.
The performance was good, I thought, and it's always good to see the reactions. I like Gaga, but I was very mixed on this. |
Annie Lennox is genius quality, too.
It was an 'act'....it was theatre. I'm not a real Gaga fan, but I was impressed. |
She's appealing to her younger little Monster crowd, she's a different, quirky, nerdy, and connects with kids that way. She puts a message out which is accept people for who and what they are. A lot of shit has been done before, she's today's sensation not an 80's one.

Very good points, and I agree with you on them. I was just talking with a friend, who pointed out Gaga sends out a much more positive message of acceptance than for instance Katy Perry with "I Kissed a Girl," which made it seem naughty and freaky and not natural. |

:canoworms: ETA - although for some reason it didn't offend me when Jill Sobule did it. |

Not a fan of the Perry, I hear cats wailing during her songs dunno why. |

I asked myself "What the heck is a branding expert?" It ought to refer to a working cowboy heating up irons. Do people actually pay other people to tell them how to be? Gosh! |
