A Daily Check-In
So everyday at rehearsal our director has us do a check-in. It's kind of therapeutic for me. We give a "bummer" for the day and then share a "highlight". It helps me see that an entire day is not ruined just because something unpleasant happened. The good balances the bad or sometimes outweighs it :-) On days we have no bummers, we share 2 highlights. Some days I walk in really excited to share. Anyway, I thought that maybe, at the end of your day you would like to talk about it. You have big news? Share it! We want to cheer you on! Have bad news? Share it! We want to support you.
So I will start: Bummer: my days are so long lately that I feel like I could sleep for days! They start at 5:30 am and end at 10:00 pm. I love the projects I'm working on but am craving rest. I may not get any until June! On top of that Im moving. Seems like it is all piling up! Highlight: Hard work is paying off and some business travel may be in my future! Oh and my student gave me a beautiful rainbow bracelet yesterday. She said I could wear it for the "rainbow parade" hehe Love it! |

Highlight: I get to fly home this evening... Bummer: I have had heartburn for two days, something I don't usually get. |

Here goes mine....... Today's Highlight: coming back home from the doctor I'm greeted by my cat with all the meows he can toss at me along with rubbing up all against me when I open the front door and put my things away. Such a lovely little boy he is and loves me to no end and he lets me know it everyday. :) Bummer: I had to get up way too early this morning for a doctors appt. I could of used some more sleep today. |

woot: my kid nailed her solo. watching her I almost floated out of my seat. she leaves me breathless.

Lowlight: Having to empty some roach spray on a wasp that got into my apartment (I don't have wasp spray).

Highlights: Getting a fresh cup of fruit from the local market this am.
Zooming around in a fast, free rental car while they cut the top off my hail damaged car n repair it. Lows: Muscle spasms in weird places (no, not THERE) |
High: being happy and content with my life. Things are really starting to look up and I am excited at all of the new possibilities :)
Low: Working late tonight, but I love my job so it's not that low of a low... Just a slight low! |

High: having an unexpected afternoon off to get stuff done around my house and go stroll through a beautiful park.
Low: having two conflicting events tonight :( I already committed to going out with a friend for dinner, but an unexpected friend is visiting from Rochester, NY and a group of my old besties are getting together. I never break commitments so I am honoring my first one. I wish I could bring my friend to mingle with my old ones... But the venues are an hour apart so.. Dang! (I guess that's not really a low... I'm glad I have good friends! :) ) |

Highlight: Had a damn good day on "the farm." Came home with goat milk and goat cheese, even.
Bummer: That the day wasn't longer. |
Yay: getting the headlight bulb in my car changed, along with the nasty air filter and cabin air filter..they were gross.
Boo: upsetting my mom when I didn't mean to, then getting upset that she was upset. Oops! |
Bummer: Didn't get enough sleep last night.
Highlight: A mani pedi with my sister. Highlight: Getting ready for my trip this week! |

Yesterday highlight - I went to my office and got so much work done including emails, paperwork and reports.
