Saturday Morning Fabulousness!
I've loved the feeling of Saturday mornings since I was a kid! You have the entire rest of the weekend to look forward to and I always especially loved this time of year when the warm days of summer start turning into crisp mornings and shorter afternoons.
What do you love to do on Saturday mornings? What are you doing on THIS Saturday morning? Big plans? I slept late and just rolled out of bed, walked Bella, and brewed my first cup of coffee. I'm about to put on an audiobook and toddle around the house for a couple of hours cleaning, boxing up packages to mail, washing clothes, and baking a loaf of pumpkin bread. LOVE the feeling of not having to be anywhere!! Hair is knotted up in a messy braid and I've got on my favorite polka dot shorts and a tank top. Not fit for company other than the very best of friends! LOL Happy Saturday morning to you all! |
happy saturday! cartoon day as kids but as adults its our day to sleep in...saturday i normally spend running errands...and that is what i am doing today...going to the mall to shop for work clothes :) have a great day!

This morning I woke up rediculously early so I got up, went grocery shopping, then Dunkin Donuts, then home and back to sleep. Yippee!! Then finally up, lil house cleaning and now I chill on the couch with Netflix and donuts! My kinda Saturday! This evening ... maybe a BBQ with friends. Doesn't get much better! :)

I am still getting used to having two weekends off a month. When I worked for the retail sector, I would have to work every weekend. Now, I just relax since I work at 3p. Today, I checked in on a family friend, called the paramedics for her; went to my mom's house and then we went shopping. I am now watching Cops and relaxing.

It was an early and busy morning! 4:30 am send off for my honey going to work. 6am wake up for my daughter taking her SAT this morning. Running her to the test site. Then pet duties and house chores but even that was a blissful unusual quiet in the house time.

Watched football and then went to Walmart for 2 hours to pick up stuff needed for my new job. Came home and finished helping with cooking dinner, eating then cleaning up. Now I'm in bed waiting to fall asleep. I was up way too early on my day off.

We've got pearly skies, no wind -no rain, but lots of chilly air settling in over our area.....supposedly the next storm is bringing snow.... by Sunday.
It's quiet today in the neighborhood (thank goodness!). No plans today other than read from a good book, maybe make something delicious to eat, and maybe some light housekeeping chores. Happy Saturday :bunchflowers: |

We have freezing rain here.
I had plans to meet up with some friends but I'm a afraidy cat when it comes to driving in freezing rain so we have to reschedule. Bummer. It'll be a night in with BFP forums, chatting, and watching the Olympics. |
This morning was awesome! I went to the gym, ate breakfast with DC, showered and got ready and We went SHOPPING!!! First, We brought back the old FIOS equipment and then We hit up, in this order: Barnes and Noble, DSW and Dick's Sporting Goods. Dick's had crazy sales because they are moving locations and want to get rid of as much as possible before the move. Purchases were made at 2 of the 3 locations. After that, it was the afternoon and I had a salon appointment to purdify myself. DC seemed to appreciate it. Score! All good things today, from the morning to now.

It's beautiful and light right now. Rain to come in a few hours, but it's lovely now. I worked out, ate breakfast with DC, watched some telly, showered and now I smell delicious and am currently watching House Hunters.

I suck at sleeping in but I do love waking up and knowing I don't have to spend the morning getting ready for work. My partner is not a morning bird like I am. Sometimes I get up early on my own and start the coffee and reading the news. Sometimes I try to stay in bed a little longer for extra snuggles, sometimes we get up together. Then there's an hour on the couch of coffee and catching up on news and chatting about the day. Then I get ants in my pants and have to get in the shower and start getting busy either with chores around the house or getting out and doing something fun or productive :)

On this fabulous Saturday morning i am listening to the birds and enjoying coffee..
i have to go to work eventually and perform a wedding at noon. i’ll pop in chat and see who comes around. i may or may not go back to work. i need groceries. i despise grocery shopping, but i despise getting in trouble for not having groceries even more. have a good one! |

Been up since 600am. I am almost never up this time of the day...what a fabulous morning!
It is really quiet here at our residence....I took Hope out & greeted the sun. I am now enjoying a really nice cup of very hot coffee..sweet & blonde, of course. My first ever in many months. Today, it just felt right to enjoy one. |
This morning I'm planning a trip to the bakery then returning and getting caught up on a few things around the house.

It's a GORGEOUS day today so I threw all of the windows open and am airing out the house.
Waiting on a delivery because JD is "surprising" me with flowers even though the florist called me this morning and was all "Yeah, we have a surprise flower delivery for you, what time will you be home?" After my vase full of sunshine arrives I am going to strap Bella up and go hit the beautiful walking trail so we can wear ourselves out with some exercise. C is here with her (my adopted!) Brother and we are randomly chit-chatting, nibbling on homemade cookies, and making each other crack up. Washing machine is humming, dishwasher is frothing, sheets and towels are rolling around in the dryer. I have bread dough rising for this evening and my heart feels so happy and complete that I might spin around in circles while shrieking with joy. Behold, wonderful Saturday!:moonstars: |
I haven't gotten dressed yet. It's a pajama day, which feels nice and luxurious. My room is spick and span after an arts and crafts tornado hit it, but now I'm painting so I may undo some of my tidying up, but that's ok. I am happy to be finishing this one off.

This morning was awesome! I got up, took care of the babies, went to the gym and then stopped into my local Marshall's. Marshall's/HomeGoods/TJMaxx had a promotional event from 8:30-10:30 so I went straight there from the gym. No worries; I didn't get close enough for anyone to get a good sniff. But I did enter to win a free gift card and I WON!!!!
Yay!!! So the fur babies got a new toy and a bigger food container so I can mix the junk food with the healthy food without too much trouble now and I picked up a few small fun items. I got a grinder with a mix of Himalayan sea salt and crushed jalapeno, workout gloves that fit SOOO good, a candle and a massage thingy for my feet and something to help with keeping my back in a neutral position so I don't wreck it when I do floor work at home. It wasn't much but it was an unexpected happy surprise and I needed one of those so I'm absolutely happy about how the morning has gone today. |
Well hello weekend!
i’ve been up for a while, enjoy some community coffee and reading up on the posts. i’m heading to Myrtle Beach for a day trip, so waiting for the sun to come up just little more to hit the road. My little car is in the shop, so i have a fancy rental to use, and a full tank of gas. :carride: Enjoy your day, folks! |

It's been a busy, productive morning. Though cleaning a little here there everywhere might work for some, it hasn't been working for me. So now my focus is on tackling this mess one room at a time - bathroom first. This because it's the room I most hate to clean, but enjoy having clean the most. It didn't look too bad until I started pulling every last stick of everything out. Once it was move out empty, with nothing to distract, I couldn't believe how much there was to do. Since I can only work a little at a time, and tire pretty quickly I think I'm done for the day but who knows I might surprise myself and get a second wind. Realistically though I'm thinking one more half day to finish up and do the floor, then another to wipe off everything I intend to keep and put those things back. Now with the chewy.com order unboxed, those supplies dealt with and the last load of laundry in it's tea time unwind time while Monte the oh so Magnificent naps on the couch at my side. On that garish horrible Christmas print throw I can't wait to pitch, but won't because he loves it so much, but not half as much as I love him.

We are having amazing weather here in South Carolina, only the pollen is SO severe, you just cannot handle it for long. i am going to try to wash my car and the thick layer of pollen off of it, and hopefully install front end protector that i bought for it. i just got it painted after someone hit me, and i’d like for it to stay ding free for a little while. i’m currently enjoying my first cup of coffee and i have absolutely no plans! I fought traffic and stopped at the grocery store on the way home. By then it was lunch time and time for afternoon fabulousness. |
It is a beautiful and fabulous Saturday outside... except that it's windy as hell! Acceptable for neither Butch nor beast. So, it's a pizza, flix and chill day. :koolaid:

Art, music, dance....
This is Fringe Festival weekend at my teen's school. She attends a charter school focused on the arts. Last night was a lantern parade around the lake in town and ended up at the school with music and dancing. In a bit we are leaving for the festival. They will have the fine art displays, all types of dancing on an outdoor stage (ballet through hip-hop), band concert, orchestra concert, thespians in one-act plays, creative writers reading poetry and prose and all manner of other lovely art. The weather is gorgeous and it will be a long, but fun day.
However I started my fabulous Saturday as I always do, getting up at the wee dawn hours to sit on my porch, meditate on the abundance of blessings in my life and celebrate Prime. Katniss~~wishing everyone an abundantly blessed day :praying: |
