My beautiful fiancee, who has some mad cookin' skillz, is cooking New Years Day dinner of roast beef, "One Eyed Peas" (as Pop calls 'em) with rice (aka "Hoppin' John", Southern style), cooked cabbage, sweet corn, corn bread and beverages (sweet tea). :eating::heartbeat:

I am looking forward to next Monday, the inauguration of our beloved, President, Barack Obama, which coincidently will occur on the very day that we honor Dr Martin Luther King! AND I read that our first Hispanic Supreme Court Justice, The Honorable Sonia Sotomayor, will swear in Vice President Joe Biden! I am excited!

Saturday... Going to visit my daughter, her partner, my grnadson, and my granddaughter! I haven't seen them since Christmas... :doh: Sunday... We'll talk about Sunday when it get's closer... hee hee. I'm looking forward to that day too! ;) |

Going to Indiana next weekend for my mom's birthday and to see friends and my horse! But I am going to miss Him like crazy while I am gone.. and I am going to freeze to death! :|

Three day weekend and no rain in the forecast for days and days ahead. The rain made this past week pretty dreary and dismal for me because I love being outdoors.

So much fun to be had! Belly Dancing class with friends this afternoon, and an evening out. Trips to New York, Austin, and Boston in February. Seeing my two BFFs from Houston this week, AND my classes this semester! All very stimulating to my mind, spirit, and sense of adventure!
