Penpals, Scrapbookers, Postcard Artists and Other Creative Types
Your talents are wanted here!
I've been a penpal for a few years now and have completed some artistic endeavors through group rounds with great success. I find the artistic expression of the people I've had the pleasure of knowing and corresponding with to be exemplary. This is a thread for those who would like to connect (or reconnect) with other artistic types, whether it be by penpalling, swapping small craft projects or coming together to design new ways to share our love of pen, paper, glue and glitter. Happy creating, all! |
is love of glitter a prerequisite?

i've been making postcards of late and have grand plans for some x-mess cards. anybody wants in, drop me a pm with mailing addy. especially you, ms. gemme....haven't heard from you in a while. :) |
I used to do all of these things.
I still have boxes of magazines (like The Sun and Art Forum), special paper and nearly a house FULL of favorite pens (my favorite thing to shop for) just for this purpose. I crafted my hand-written letters with these things along with leaves, flowers, small found objects, etc. I really should get back to it. It was a pleasure. (Not a fan of glitter here.) e |

Some of my friends turned me onto Postsecret.com and I love the concept of putting one's most secret thoughts and desires onto a 3x5 or 4x6 card and revealing them to others, sometimes anonymously. Glad to see your interest! |

My birthday is on Thanksgiving this year.
My dad used to call me Turkey. (He thought this was quite clever.) I should like to celebrate with a crepe paper Turkey. A giant one. Or just some of those little hand ones like Ben-Her is making. I don't want to set myself up to fail or anything. |
my hobbies have changed through the ages
As of late I am into making photocards out of the pictures I take at the resort here... It's an amazing place... I get to sell them when we are open for the season.. I would like to expand this one day... The link in my sigline has samples.. I also like to crochet to keep my hands busy and keep me out of trouble. Wil your postcards are great no no to glitter |
