My best friend since the 6th grade flew in for a long weekend. We usually only get to see each other about once a year, so I am definitely looking forward to spending time with her and catching up.

Vacation starts tonight at 7pm when my honey gets off of work!

I am going to cook like a maniac this weekend. A coworker gave me a rack of venison. I also have a really nice pork shoulder. I am feeling root vegetablish, it is that time of year.

I also have an abundance of frozen stock I need to do something with and a few butternut squash.

I cook for the week on the weekend. This weekend the weather is reasonable enough to have the windows open and let the breeze blow through my hot kitchen.

For my emerald to get here. It's been a week since I paid for special shipping from the jeweler. It's kinda exciting when you have never owned such a thing but emerald has always been your favorite.

I'm looking forward to seeing my therapist tomorrow. I miss having conversations.

I'm looking forward to my day tomorrow in Austin. I love that town!

Also, I'm really looking forward to the weather getting it's cray cray out of its system so we can have some dang sunshine!

Eating some turkey and then sleeping because I'll be in a turkey coma!

I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with my mom on Wednesday while we cook and prep for Thanksgiving. Thursday, it will be great to see my brother and other extended family that I don't get to see that often. Then on Friday, my partner and I will be heading to New Orleans for the weekend. I crave that city like no other place, and we are way overdue for a road trip.

I am soooo looking forward to 4 days OFF after thanksgiving.
I will start off with a massage, then a mani/ pedi.
Then my first Reiki session to get rid of some tension and emotional baggage :seeingstars:
Then I will sleep like there is no tomorrow cause I have someone to take care of my responsibility for a bit.

I need to recharge. WooHoo mini vacation!!!
