Butch Femme Planet - What are you having for dinner tonight?

We had a gorgeous roasted chicken filled with garlic, onion, lemon, a little red pepper, thyme, rosemary, black pepper and sage. I slit the chicken skin and made a pocket between the breast and skin and rubbed in sage, rosemary, and dressed the pocket with more garlic and lemon slices. Juney made one last year for us filled full of wonderful things and it has really reignited my love for roasted chicken. (my "foodie" is showing here!! LOL)

I did some mashed potatoes on the side and a gravy of roasted chicken pan drippings, corn starch, white wine, and a tiny splash of cream.

Such an easy dinner and the leftovers are amazing too.

whole wheat pasta with chicken that was slow simmered in a chili/salsa sauce that i made. paired with a simple salad and a diet orange soda.

i may have some cantaloupe in a bit, i havent decided...

Left over BBQ brisket, chopped on top of sourdough bread. I added a piece of provolone cheese and zapped in the micro for a few seconds. The best sandwich for a Monday night!
Ice with tea :)

I just got back from CVS with a treat...chocolate covered raisins.

I was busy and forgot to eat at "dinner time"... but it's 9pm and I was really hungry so I heated up leftover veggie soup... that should do it!

Casa de Snow is having grilled chicken legs that are seasoned with Cajun whammy and slathered in a spicy bbq sauce. Baked potatoes and fresh green leaf lettuce salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, topped with a roasted garlic ranch style dressing that i made.

I made jambalaya in the slow cooker:

Chicken, diced tomatoes with jalapenos, chicken Andouille sausage (very spicy!) rice, peppers and okra...

It came out wicked good. I'm going to freeze the copious leftovers... :blink:

For weeks I have been craving very naughty Fried Chicken. It's been a long time since I have committed that sin :)

So tonight, Fried Chicken, Corn, Mashed Potatoes. Nom.

The boy is cooking, so I effing know its going to be amazing.

I have cinnamongrrl's crock pot pineapple chicken in my crock pot. I saw the recipe earlier in this thread. It smells so good. I can't wait to eat it.

Leftovers.

Made this.... and it was wonderful. Though I used boneless and skinless chicken and then grilled it. I enjoyed it with carrots and massaged kale salad. Leftovers were bomb diggity.

About massaged kale salad-- makes a huge difference.
