I have more than just one ID, I have more than just a sexual or gender ID.
What IDs make you feel a sense of connection with others? Give you a sense of self?

Mine, and in no particular order:

Feminist -third wave

Femme/Dolly Dyke -an internal identity. I don't feel I have much in common with other femmes just on the basis of having the same gender as them

Queer-dyke -in North America. I still call myself a lesbian in the UK

Socialist

Southwest coast BC'er -because of the dirt. I feel connect to this dirt, these trees, these mountains. NOT canadian. I am not a patriot. I don't feel I have much in common with someone just because they come from Edmonton in the next province over

Cousin-friend - my friends that I love like family I feel a family like responsibility too and they are part of my identity

Ex-sexworker/sex advocate -big part of who I am, I feel pride about this like people do about being gay and have shame shoved at them for being gay. So I'm out and proud about it.

Queer femme-my self-given id, which does not change no matter whom i partner with.

Wife-i claim wife whether married to a man or woman.

Mother-i have learned so much about life and pure love from having my child.

Friend-i have a few close friends, and i would die for any of them.

Social Activist-love me my causes.

Conspiracy theorist-you got a minute? Lol

Daughter of my mother-she taught me good from bad, right from wrong, and how to move through the world confident and strong.

Weirdo- Hell yeah!..and you can throw in morbid.

Spiritual- I have a strong Buddhism interest, and am of Jewish background.

Femme- It's the way I've always been.

Intelligent- The IQ tests put me up there.

Creative- Yep I am.

Bottom/submissive- It's natural to me.

Intuitive- I'm always listening to that inner voice.

Adventurous risk taker- You'll never know if you don't take that risk.

International love- I feel at home in two countries half the world away.

Silver spoon club member- dad was in music industry, I met many artists with their bodyguards and chauffeurs at my house.
