slow cooker meal: boneless chicken breasts, rotel chilies & tomatoes, fiesta corn, diced tomatoes, lentils, spicy dry ranch dressing and cream cheese......yummm...smells heavenly. Will have long grain & wild rice with it. Later Moose Tracks ice cream for me & raspberry chocolate chip for her!

Rockinonahigh 07-16-2015 04:10 PM

Cajun rice, pork chops, biscuits, unsweet tea then I baked pocket apple pies .

CherryWine 07-16-2015 04:20 PM

It's looking like tomato sandwiches again, not that I'm complaining. I do kind of wish I had some bacon to add. Fruit salad to go with.

We are going to turn into tomatoes, but my dad has been killin' it with his veggie growing skills this summer.

Just done cooking: hamburger BBQ, baked beans, macaroni salad, deviled eggs, and banana cream pie for dessert. *sitting in my recliner too exhausted to eat....

C0LLETTE 07-16-2015 06:22 PM

I'm eating yesterday's leftover pasta...3 minutes in the microwave ... bit gluey but not too bad.

Gemme 07-16-2015 06:27 PM

I had leftovers. Garlic bread, fried pickles, a smidge of the pulled pork, some corn and golden peach fizzy water.

Italian sausage and peppers sandwich and sweet tea

Last night I had a kale salad with quinoa, cukes, shredded carrots, mango and cranberries. Also half of a turkey, spinach and swiss panini. Tonight, I will have the same. Simple but tastes good.

MysticOceansFL 07-17-2015 03:20 PM

Thinking about making spaghetti w/ garlic bread and side salad and glass of sweet tea!

Rockinonahigh 07-17-2015 04:05 PM

To night I'm cooking chicken cacciatore Naples style over thin pasta . I bought a loaf of fresh baked French bread to have with it. I'd like to have wine but with the meds no can do so unsweet tea will have to do..

C0LLETTE 07-17-2015 04:33 PM

We are going out to a highly touted fresh fish/seafood restaurant. Given we are located about a thousand miles inland, I remain a bit skeptical.

Gemme 07-17-2015 04:51 PM

I'm having roasted mushroom and spinach pizza with mozz, white and baby portabella mushrooms and spinach with a cream onion sauce. Golden peach and mandarin orange fizzy water.

~SweetCheeks~ 07-17-2015 05:20 PM

Whole wheat tortilla with grilled chicken, lettuce, fresh heirloom tomatoes, avocado and some blueberries for dessert. Decafe green tea with splenda.

Even to me this seems/feels like a bachelor dinner. Roasted corn on the cob, it's got about 13 minutes left in the oven as I type, as much guacamole as one avocado yielded, Juanita's tortilla chips (They are usually my favorite, but this bag is kind of iffy. I like them because they are light and crispy and unable to serve as a shim in a pinch like some chips) and a Trader Joe's version of a Corona.

I wouldn't mind trying that smoked trout Scotch egg.

Jumbo stuffed shells, one in a basil pesto Alfredo and another in red sauce, baby red potatoes with roasted garlic, green onions and portobello mushrooms, a hard baguette and I made a garlic spread. For dessert, cinnamon pecan cake with whipped topping.
