The fourth day off of a long weekend.

Watching my honey crack crab for me so I don't have to. (Did I mention I am spoiled?)

Sitting in the house warm and dry, while the storm raged outside.

They're usually the ones who show up on moving day...
:shocking:

Corkey 01-18-2010 10:28 PM

They are the ones who help burry the bodies.

Really, though - I think the ones who show up "moving day", JUST dont really "show up"... Catch my drift?

Hi, Buddy New Year! May it be the best year ever! Mine is gonna be!! BIG SMILE.

Peace...
J.

Gemme 01-18-2010 11:42 PM

They are the ones who show up to help you move on Saturday, discover the bodies you've buried in the basement once the boxes and furniture are gone, roll everything up, and help you relocate/destroy the bodies on Sunday (before the game, of course).

:hockey::basketball::drunk::duct:

The REALLY good friends are the ones that, after all this, still pitch in for the pizza.

My sister called me at work and said she got orders. I was thinking oh great where are they sending her now. Well it turns out that they are sending her to travis air force base. Which means my family is coming home. I get to be near my sis and dad and be a part of my nephews life.

Just_G 01-20-2010 02:40 PM

Finally getting together with her for another wine night...it is nice to just sit around and laugh....much needed and gives me something to look forward to!

JakeTulane 01-20-2010 02:53 PM

Coffee time.

Rook 01-20-2010 03:10 PM

1st...
i was rather hungry after dialysis, so I made a pit stop at the chinese buffet for a shrimp eggroll, the girl that constantly sets off my 'gaydar' told me they were out, if i'd like the regular pork...
i'm fuggin hungry so i says sure..
she tells me 2 dollars, when i clearly saw the total saying 3.50...
I was bout to protest since I'm aware how that can screw things up for them in accounting..
she smiled and insisted, so I thought fuckit...
Took a seat in the "Mall" and i realized I not only got a discount, but an extra eggroll...yaaay

2nd, was greeted at the door by my Ferrets, they seemed excited to see me..Apparently in my rush this morning, I forgot to secure their cage...
Careless, true, but they seemed alright, and yes i'm still wondering how i let it slip...
Matilda had her squeakie hedgehog toy when she came to the door and dropped it..which elicited a honey-dripping "Awwww", followed by lots of Cuddlin' for both{and subtle checking to make sure they were actually ok}
:cool::D

Semantics 01-20-2010 03:45 PM

My sister telling me that she had been evicted but immediately following it by telling me she had already found a new house and wouldn't be moving into mine.

I'm watching Craig Ferguson right now...there is a comedian performing.....and he has a little girl who just announces out~of~ the blue, "I'm happy!"

He said it never occurred to him to announce it like that, but wouldn't it be a good idea to do that....as we're ALways hearing when someone has a BAD day.....or they're cranky.....or in a bad mood, blah, blah, blah.....

So....with that in mind.....

I'm happy!

:D

HUGE SMILE

Nursing can be a very challenging profession. You see so much horrid stuff and alot of times you feel overloaded with stress, unappreciated by ( few ) , you stand over someone who is dying and think have we done all we could do for this patient???
Nurses are also very understaffed and to meet the demands of every single task and patient load is virtually impossible. You leave crushed sometimes bc you couldn't devote 100 percent total care to each individual person.
Today at work during visitation hours a lady whom I had taken care of for a few weeks in ICU walks in ( this patient was supposed to never walk again )
and comes to me and hugs me tight saying that she and her husband drove an hour and a half just to say thank you for everything u did for me and then she cried.... To see who walk in was absolutely an amazing feeling and to hear her heartfelt thanks was the best! I have smiled all night about that.
