Questions You Ponder in the Middle of the Night

:deepthoughts:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Last night I was pondering why many gas stations still have the
term 'Self Serve' next to their per gallon pricing...when they
did away with 'Full Serve' long ago.
:eyebrow:
I can't remember when the last time I pulled into a station where someone
pumps my gas n washes my windows for a few extra cents per gallon.
There are full service stations here in Nashville in the expensive areas of town.
I can't afford them though.
Apocalipstic 03-18-2010 11:38 AM
Last night I thought about....
Who gets to say what is right and wrong?
Is right and wrong different in different cultures?
Is what is right and wrong in the "Universal Truths which are self evident" category, and if so, what are these Universal Truths? (Outside the US Constitution)
Is there a right and wrong?
How much of what we see as right and wrong is religion based?
No, I did not sleep well last night! :sigh:
Great thread idea Day! :)
sometimes i ponder historical events...like i wonder what it wouldve been like to be on the battlefield with Boudicca while she routed the Romans...
or jsut how badly Penthesilea kicked the shit out of Hercules to get that belt lol
There are many times and points in history that i wish i could have seen or been at...
but sometimes my thoughts dont go that deep and its feelings that i ponder...
Oregon and New Jersey won't let you pump your own gas. It's illegal. :blink:
No shit.
I dunno, but they pay folks ten bucks and up an hour to take your cash or card and pump it for you. They'll do the scrubby windshield thing too usually.
Isn't June an Oregonian? She might know the background on that.
I ponder not about growing old
I ponder now about growing frailer
I ponder about growing frailer
and then I ponder if love would ever call upon me as I grow frailer
I wonder not about being alone
for this I dont fear
instead I ponder about loneliness
and hope I never feel it
Enchantress 03-18-2010 09:10 PM
What . Why . How . Where . When . If.
Uh huh, I'm just that deep
My thoughts...
Last night...
11:30pm ~ Ugh! I hate trying to force myself to sleep, but it's necessary. Sleep, dammit, sleep! :rant:
*tossing*
*turning*
1:30am ~ Great. I just doze off and now it's time for a potty break.
*bathroom*
2:00am ~ When I am EVER going to get to sleeee....zzzzzz
5:20am ~ *grungy guitar riffs filter the air*
5:21am ~ I wonder if they'll notice if I don't show up? *groan*
LeftWriteFemme 03-20-2010 09:26 AM
Why is it so Dark??????
Soft*Silver 03-20-2010 09:41 AM
it is suggested with this spinal thing I have, to not consume any milk products. Hmm..so thats why I am lactose intolerant....
This tidbit and many more were roaming in my mind late last night/early this morning, as I was processing all the information given to me and comparing it to my base of information I have about myself and coming up with new ways of understanding why my body has been doing everything it has been doing...
and what it is going to be capable of again...
that incurable isnt the same thing as untreatable
and that its not going to be disfiguring (thank heavens...I was so worried about that)
and that with limitations, different ones, not the ones I have been having, my life is actually going to be expanded in some ways I didnt have before...
and whispering prayers of gratitude, and some for solace and comfort, and some for suprised anticipations and others for relief of fear....
yeah, that about sums up my night/morning last night....
WolfyOne 03-23-2010 09:12 PM
Dark circles under the eyes
Is it lack of sleep or allergies
And
Which one causes darker circles to appear
And
How long will it take them to go away
Will they still be here come August
Will I ever sleep solid again
And
Will I sniffle forever
And
Don't you just hate waking up because of potty breaks,
knowing you just fell asleep like 30 minutes ago
UofMfan 03-23-2010 09:25 PM
Will the Girl Scout Cookies ever get here?
Soft*Silver 03-23-2010 09:51 PM
I'll tell you what I'm no longer pondering- why kids are afraid of clowns!
I was just watching Food Network and an old McDonald's commercial came on.
Pennywise has nothing on Retro Ronald. :|
