Something to think about.

This was recorded/broadcasted before the 2018 midterm election. It's something to really think about, in relation to the bigger picture.

During the next two years...

Going forward, now that Democrats occupy the US House, I think voters need to capitalize on that hard won battle by making in-roads on core values which espouse the tenets and values of an democracy that will not tolerate white nationalism or the blatant othering of those who do not support an white nationalist agenda.

Scary stuff given air-play during the moments that led up to the Mid-Term Election of 2018, was the political ad showing an GOP official indoctrinating their brand of warped power, by teaching their young child how to build a wall, is an frightening example of how hatred becomes an intergenerational issue when it's inculcated into those who will help them keep their so-called vision of warped power.

During the interim of the next two years, lots of work is to be achieved in rectifying US Democracy by ousting and eradicating cancerous forms of this cultural mindset from the governing bodies in our present system of Democracy and the greater American populace.

There's so much one can unpack from the video. Just a couple of bits...

I'm happy that we got the house … but … that victory could be a double edged sword. Trump is lil more than an animal that acts primarily on the instinct to survive. Dems in the House could have him feeling even more trapped … deeper in a corner... so who knows WTF this animal could do next to survive.

The mistake made wasn't that people didn't take Trump seriously as a candidate. The mistake made was not realizing how many Americans took him seriously as a candidate.

Sessions just resigned at Trump's request.

Lyte 11-07-2018 03:12 PM

Few nights ago Rachel Maddow ran down a pretty jacked up scenario of what could happen if Sessions resigned or was booted. This is likely reaction #1 to Trump losing the house … which leads in the long run... to getting rid of Mueller.

House committees have subpoena power, and they could sponsor an investigation that could duplicate all the evidence found by Mueller. I'd trust Maxine to go the distance, but I am not sure about the rest. According to Trump, he had a warm meeting with Nancy Pelosi today. Fuck their fucking warm meeting. Fuck Pelosi and the mainstream Dems if they are going to roll over as usual.

Nobody Is Above the Law—Mueller Protection Rapid Response

BREAKING: PROTESTS CALLED FOR THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 5 PM LOCAL TIME
Donald Trump has installed a crony to oversee the special counsel's Trump-Russia investigation, crossing a red line set to protect the investigation. By replacing Rod Rosenstein with just-named Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker as special counsel Robert Mueller's boss on the investigation, Trump has undercut the independence of the investigation. Whitaker has publicly outlined strategies to stifle the investigation and cannot be allowed to remain in charge of it. The Nobody Is Above the Law network demands that Whitaker immediately commit not to assume supervision of the investigation. Our hundreds of response events are being launched to demonstrate the public demand for action to correct this injustice. We will update this page as the situation develops.

--

Donald Trump just crossed a red line, violating the independence of the investigation pursuing criminal charges in the Trump-Russia scandal and cover-up.

Trump putting himself above the law is a threat to our democracy, and we’ve got to get Congress to stop him.

We're mobilizing immediately to demand accountability, because Trump is not above the law.

Please make note of the date, time, and description below to confirm that the host is able to organize the event on such short notice! In general, rallies are suggested to begin @ 5 PM local time. But individual local events may vary—please confirm details on your event page.

Once you sign up, make sure to invite friends to join you at the event!

Note: If you choose to attend an event, you agree to engage in nonviolent, peaceful action, to act lawfully, and to strive to de-escalate any potential confrontations with those who may disagree with our values.

I am so glad to see lots of people voting!

Our elections in OZ,are always Sat from 8AM-6pm and you can vote at most public schools, we dont have machines only paper and hand counted, although lines have gotten longer over time, but could be the population has doubled.

WE have preference voting as well,so I can vote Socialist Alliance,if we run a candidate and our preferences go, to the Labor Party"our dems"

funny enough our conservatives, are the Liberal party, which means something totally opposite in the US.

so if you said to me are you a liberal,I would be,"are you nuts":)

Partner and I had moved within the county. I called the Board of Elections. They told to just go to the poll in our new town and every thing would be be okay and as though we were voting where we were originally registered.

Well, t'aint so. We were sent to the last table, had to sign affidavits. After which we were given absentee ballots. I argued to no avail, and left feeling as though our votes wouldn't count and we just wasted our time and money going to the polls this year(we paid 12 dollars rt...a chunk on disability)
