Odyssey Bookshop at 114 West Front Street in Port Angeles is loaded with goodies although it's a bit of a maze and not well organized!

Lots of stuff for kids as well as books, cards, postcards, and journals.

Leavenworth, Washington Christmas Lighting Festival

The Christmas lights festival begins on December 1st, with activities and holiday bazaars and shopping local merchants until the 17th of December.

I've only been once, years ago, but it's a charming mountain community, with lots of things to do. Especially during the fall months....it's just gorgeous to spend an afternoon drive to see the beautiful trees and during Christmas, the festival of lights is simply breath taking with all its magical charm.

Here's an link to this year's calender of events:

So funny you should post this! A few weeks past, the Sunday's travel section did a feature on this quaint little place!

If you're flying into Chicago's O'Hare field and are unsure of what mode of transport to take to get downtown, by all means take the blue line El train that runs right under the airport terminal station! TRUST me on this, ESPECIALLY if it's during rush hour! As you go sailing past the "parking lot" of an expressway hopefully you'll remember this post and smile to yourself!

IF you're planning to head to Chicago for any play off games don't forget about this.............:hangloose:

For those who enjoy pizza, burgers, salads, locally crafted brews or specially made non-alcoholic drinks, fabulous locations for a superb dining experience either alfresco or indoors. :)

McMenamins is one of many restaurant pubs I've always enjoyed..... definitely treat yourself to pizza or salads or any entrée they offer on their menu. You will be delighted by the food, the service and the natural history of each location owned by the McMenamin brothers. :balloon:
